If the story in the SMH is true surely it is the end for the existing administration. To foul up his insurance in the manner alleged is reprehensible. He is now left with no insurance money at all! The excuse is that something happened between the football department and the front office!! Its not the first time that the football department has been implicated in incompetence. The NRL`s demand for a governance review must be implemented immediately. Heads should role.

I thought they had to get all that insurance stuff sorted before the NRL would allow him to play. I dont get whats going on. Either we have the worst adminstratoin in the history of the sport or Scott Seward was the most incompetent CEO on the face of the planet.
Somethings gotta give.
People are writing like this is the only time the administration has stuffed up. The whole period of their occupancy of the board has been one of complete chaos. They caused the problem and they are not capable of fixing it. The time is right for the NRL to take over the administration of the club. An independent administrator needs to be appointed as soon as now.
Thank God this season is almost over. Hopefully, over the break the club can sort out ALL of these black eyes and start 2016 with no ripples (or tsunami's). In saying, it is ANOTHER Prostitutezenko article. Does this imbecile write about any other club?
If there is any truth to this we will never be a top four side witht this level of incompetence in the front office.
at the end of the day its all about money!!!!! the admin is way too naive /stupid to run it!
richie is only doing whats right for himself whether its ethical or not / right or wrong we should of never been in a position of weakness.
Sack sharp and co.
This whole article smells of a beat up. Surely the insurance that covers players would be in a single policy. Surely we don't pay each individual players policy in seperate payments.
Either we had a policy or we didn't. I can't believe that we would not pay a policy and leave ourselves open like that considering the amount of injuries that occur in league.
Seriously if they are that incompetent there would be no club left to speak of.
This type of stuff just beggars belief on any number of fronts. Sharp's next update will take a day to read if he covers off everything that's made the papers.
In no way is Fa'aoso to blame here. If he has not been paid the insurance he is owed his only option is litigation.
Every person in his position would do the same.
Since Parra had to get this all in order before the NRL would register his contract (and the NRL did take there sweet a$$ time going through it) would mean to me that the NRL had the last look at the policy. Therefore if the NRL signed off on it and registered his contract then, if there is an issue, the NRL would have to take most of the responsibility for that issue.
Big Bee I agree with you here. Surely for the green light to be given to Parra to allow Richie to play they would have had to tick off a range of things like contract, cap, insurance, which was the biggest stumbling block as I understand. Surely a "certificate of insurance" would have been mandatory for the NRL to sight prior to its approval. If there isn't any insurance then both Parra and the NRL have some interesting questions to answer. As for the potential for any claim on the policy, if it exists, Richie would have to demonstrate any loss he has or is suffering as a result of any injury suffered whilst playing for Parra. Depending on the policy wordings, if any loss or future losses relate to his prior injury then his earlier policy would surely respond to that claim.
