Seems like every week there are good quality players coming onto the market or that are available that would add something to our team and roster but we aren't seeming to be as active in the player market as we were earlier this year. EG Keon. Barnett
Has anyone heard anything or have any news on any potential signings for 2027 /2028 we may look at? I still believe there is the basis of a very good football side at the Eels but we defintely need 1 or 2 additions of quality players at the absolute least

Let me clarify, no one said anything about a lack of respect. What I've heard from a player agent is the wheels turn very slowly at Parra. They are slow to make a decision, slow to put in an offer. Slow to return phone calls etc etc
See Pops without what you mention it's going to a gunfight without a enough ammo. The club must know this if we don't have that in place your going to lose most times. That's definitely an issue they need to fix.
People are moaning about tax free salary nd TPAs at PNG now when in all essence there's some clubs out there that have had this advantage for years.
If you don't have every competitive advantage at your doorstep your making up the numbers you really are.
No one denies this but do you understand our particular circumstances Coryn, we made the rules so we couldn't cheat.... do you think that the TPA's out there are actually done on an arms length basis....of course not, but we made it hard for ourselves being a good corporate citizen.
If I was running the show I would be having the best accountants and lawyers in there coming up with solutions that maybe a little "greyer" than our current conservatives, I think this is coming and I have been advised we are actually seeing corporate sponsors out there that may be intersted.
What doesn't help is having "gooses" out there wanting everyone sacked and Parra is back where they start....hence my comments on patience.....surely you can do that, I will probably be dead before we win another premiership, I just want to see us respected as the force that we should be and eventually premierships will happen.....grossly overated by the way.....once you win one you are expected to do it againa and again....just ask the Bronco's.
To again quote Cappy and Nos, evolution is better than revolution, why cannot we see that?
Said it before being in a 40 yr vortex patience has run out.We are 10 yrs out of a salary cap scandal and from what it looks like no closer to what we all desire.
But I hear what you are saying.
Having a committee shows a lack of confidence - strong clubs have the key member that just gets it done.
Titan, maybe you're right. Can you list clubs by whether that club has a recruitment committee or a single key member that handles recruitment? Given your assertion that strong clubs have a single key member, you must have that evidence to hand, and that would be interesting to read and see those correlations you claim exist.
Thanks, we await your evidence. I agree with you it's good to provide evidence for claims
Sure, can you explain if "I have heard" from an anonymous Internet forum account is better or the same or worse than "I know someone in the know" from an anonymous Internet facebook account?
So let me get this straight. The committee, which consists of Ryles, MON, Sarantinos and Rogers, some if not all have other employment than other the club?
If they don't have someone in charge of recruitment then what is Rogers "head of recruitment" title then?
I think some grain of salt can be taken on Ol' Cregan.
LB, with the exception of Rogers, who I don't know, the other 3 are employed full time by the club, given that MON has a Xmas Pantomine where he known for dressing and sometimes undressing in a spectacular table dance could be a part time exception done for Charity.
Yeah I was being facetious. All are employed full-time by Parramatta.
