Poppas Corner; JAC is proving to be a real Jewell

After last night I could "wax lyrical" about Mitch Moses.....I honestly did not think a single player could make so much difference to that side.

BUT I would like to talk about JAC, he may not be as fast as he once was, but he is quicker than anything we have had for a long time.

BUT No 2, every young winger in Parramatta can learn by his positional judgement. You just cannot believe the type of players we have had on the wing, have had no idea on how to read the situation. Yes JAC will still get caught out but his judgement is very high, he also gives us that polish at the finish that we had from Sivo, albeit in a much different style.

Finally what JAC has, has been pretty well understated to date, but now we have some creative players back in the side, I think we will really reap the benefits of his presence (yes I know about the goalline mistake he made last night....shit happens, but he made up for it 5 minutes later with some extraudinary stuff).

One thing I will say about the side last night is "game awareness" Moses and JAC demonstrated it in "spades", just imagine if Lomax was around to get under some of those kicks.

            • Well read EA and you make Wiz eat his own shit. That comparison you make is very interesting with Pap.

Nah! not even a nice try Wiz.....stick to the elections old son, that certain eye for the Magic of French can only see around so many corners, where as your own myopic eye can only see what you want to see.

I am still waiting for the dozens of Lomax's you have stored on the backblocks of the Illawarra. Why are the 45 coaches and Bellamey and Bennett not recruiting them?

PS Touche you say.......no you could never be that humble!

              • Well... Bennett did recruit Bostock who couldn't get a run at the Dragons , have you even done any research at all as to the Illawarras history of producing Winger / Centres ?  It's probably the only place that's producing decent white ones anymore .

Go and sit on your pile of old Post magazines in your back wanking shed , and have a good think about Wingers and Centres the Illawarra has produced over the years and then come back and argue they don't have a constant production line of kids coming through . As I said at the time , they'll lose Lomax and bring on another one as they have a whole bunch sitting in the lower grades .  Bennett did sniper their next inline a few years back now , Bostock was playing for fucking Shellharbour FFS. Thats how much talents siting in the local comp.

Dragons biggest problem is keeping them.

      • I said earlier on Simonsson was quality and signed long term with him being the future for next three years. Many said yeah, no he is depth and we need to replace him. Bloke is not a superstar but he is quality.

        • I've always liked Simonsson on the wing - he's  always eager to take on a heavy workload and not a bad finisher, but if he plays centre I'm certain there'll be a bit of Bailey bagging.

The bloke just doesn't like to pass. I don't mind a centre often having a low passes to run ratio but with BS it's every single game

  • As I was watching last night I had a feeling I have not had for years, comfortable with a team shifting the ball wide against us. JAC is in control and Russell just goes with him, no panic, no rushing up just sticking together and tsckling the player on front. No overlaps because we couldn't count numbers. It was refreshing.

    • Agreed

      • Well said DanMan, sounds like we need you on here more often.

    • Well said!

  • Backline will be:

    iongi

    JAC

    Simmo

    Penis

    Lomax

What a backline. Fastest and most skilful backline we've had in a very long time. Futures looking bright. Can't wait for Galvin to have this backline to play with

    • I would still keep Lomax in the centres. Either way, the best backline they have had in a few years,

Prof. Daz replied to Parra-all-the-way's discussion Did eels dodge a bullet with Galvin?
"Seems it is Galvin's role at Dogs that is the issue, not necessarily Galvin per se? Galvin permanently replaced Sexton at #7 for Dogs in Round 20 of 2025. After 19 rounds going into Round 20, Dogs were 3rd (12 wins, 4 losses, 3 byes; 366 (f) vs 270…"
