  • Does Sandon Smith being dropped to the bench , potentially show that he is leaving the rooters ?

    • Yeah from what I've heard he's the odd man out. Hugo is open to a loan deal but wants to go back to roosters in long run. Walker is obviously not going anywhere and dce is 7. But yeah Hugo is higher on roosters pecking order

    • Think Sandon will play a fair bit of hooker this week with Connor Watson away? But, considering Savala is at 6, maybe it's a sign thats their future halves combo?

He'd be a good pick up, would prefer Metcalf, but probably less likely.

  • What about  Jaydon Hunt?  I haven't really seen him play, but  I was told by a member of the coaching staff for the Broncos feeder club that he goes alright. He's only 26 and  plays front and second row.  A lot of people here are saying there are not many players in the market for 26, and whilst this is correct look at how many players jumped ship early last year; Fisher  Harris, May, Dylan Walker, Molo,  and others. It happens every season and with the war chest Parra have we need to make sure we seize the opportunity when it presents, often with discount. Also, Parra should be targetting the best junior talent  waiting for a start at other clubs, Roosters, Broncos and Bulldogs being options. Ricky has done  this with great success  over the  past few seasons and I still think Parra has more to offer than just a start in FG. Finally, a few clubs, at different stages in the recruitment cycle  e.g. with lots of players due for upgrades, will have to start oflfloading a few players. It just requires astute recruitment and a bit of patience. I will wait and see how MON goes on this before passing judgement.

    • Jaydon hunt would only be cheap bigger middle/ edge player. The Broncos have so many players a lot don't even get an opportunity.

  • Eels recent recuirtment has been looking at players contracted at club already that are looking to leave for opportunities or other reasons. So the players we are looking at we probably got no idea about. S Smith seems unlikely

  • You'd think that a guaranteed starting 5/8 spot , playing next to the great Mitch Moses and earning 750-800 odd thousand dollars would be an opportunity that most backup halves around the NRL would be making noise about trying to get released from their current agreements .

  • we have more chance of signing Santa Claus...who are the moderators on this site Bob and Arnold need some respite  yes no ? OR maybe they need to get a life Or a lithium depot

    • If you call for mods they will also come for you.....humorous ridicule pile-on usually gets 'er done...maybe not merkin though,

      trolls gonna troll

  • We won't be getting anyone. If we do it will be scraps like always. By the time these dopes realise mark O'Neill and our recruitment are shit it will be to late. Our rebuild will turn into 5-6 years maybe more. In all honesty they front office are protecting each other there getting their salary why would they give a shit
