PLAYER TO WATCH NEXT YEAR

The player i think will have a break out year next season is Matt Keating, watching him in the GF he seemed to grow in confidence and didn't seem overalled by the occasion. He has 2 full yrs in the NRL behind him now and i feel that little bit of selfdoubt he may have had should be behind him now. Look for him to be a chance at rep honours next season maybe city/country.Which player do you think will have a big season?

  • i would like to see keating run hard through the ruck when we get quick play the balls like kevin kingston does i hardly saw keating do that at all this year. i reckon mateo and inu are due for a huge year
  • My money is on Inu - Hayne & Mortimer will be marked heavily next year & with the "Enforcer" Tahu out to re-establish, opposing team defenses will have their hands full. This is why Inu is my pick

We (at parra) know just how much of a gifted freak (talent wise) that Inu can be. After returning from the wilderness from an injury that really saw his confidence fall, his form at the back end of the season & in particular the semi's really makes me feel that Inu (barring injuries) will finally get the recognition of the League - Inu is a genuine Superstar in the making

Like Hayne - he is freakish & confident - just the right tools to go to the very top I reckon
  • Inu's problem at the end of this year was his silly offloads,i cant remember how many times he threw a stupid pass that wasnt on that went to ground or the opposition.I think Inu is alot like Mateo in the sense that when they forget about trying to do the tricky stuff and just power onto the ball and let their size and footwork do the damage it becomes very easy for them to do the fancy stuff because they are through the defensive line and not tangled up in it.And as for the original question im expecting a big year from Mateo and i also think Tim Mannah will really come of age next year, this year i think he was just happy to be a part of the team but next year i think he will really try to stamp his authority on his position.
  • kris keating! a massive prospect watch him flourish playing alongside mortimer.

i really hope shackleton and poore produce the goods too
  • Tim Mannah. He got better and better this season. A bit more mongrel from him and who knows what he could do. You'd reckon without the sex he'd be a pretty angry man.
    • LOL
  • Krisnan Inu and Tim Mannah i dont think they'll feel intimidated by anyone
  • the player to watch would have to be robson. hes been the most talked about player on this forum in 2009.
  • The Keating brothers. Definitely.

Matt Keating can only get better from last year and I think he proved how important to our team he was last year and KK will be out to prove all his detractors wrong next year!

So everyone had better get off their seating for the Keatings!
  • 1. Matt Keating, has all the ability in the world but needs to put that dummy in the bag for a while and distribute the ball when needed. I don't care what Gus Gould said in that Penrith game that dummy worked once all year.

    2. Mateo - big year - could be State of Origin player if works hard on his defence.

    3. Tahu/Inu - I reckon both will have big years out wide.
