    • Nothing astute about a club who clearly wants a player but were unable to to come up with a offer to entice him long term , it once again highlights a long term underlying issue with the people who run the club .

      • How do you know that Fong?

Maybe they did initially want him for 2 or 3 years but when the opportunity for a 1 year loan deal came along, they saw merit in strengthening the club for next year without sacrificing the next batch of up and comers like what happened with Sanders and Talagi?

Also, we can't compete with the Broncos because they 'cheat the salary cap' by way of legal TPAs. We don't use those. That's an entirely different conversation where I would agree with you our club has missed an opportunity.

The undeniable reality here is folks on this forum feel as though the rug was pulled from under us by the Broncos and are butt hurt so are blaming the usual whipping boys. Ryles has complete control of who comes and goes at the club at present and he has signed off on it so I'm backing him in.

        • Zero merit in signing a player who has played a handful of games , what did the tigers get out of signing Harry Grant for a year ? If Pezet was a experienced player who others could learn off then you could see the benefits , but signing a player who has barely played first grade for a year will only benefit the Broncos.  None of the top run club's would sign a rookie for just one year .

As for  TPAs  Parramatta have the greatest advantage as they are based in the 2nd largest CBD in nsw which has $9b worth of property developers and construction companies which is just what a club needs when it comes to TPAs,  yet Parramatta have shit for brain people running the club who have zero idea how to take advantage of it .

          • Couldn't agree more, Fongy. Parra should be a powerhouse. It all starts at the front office as Jack used to say.

    • It doesn't align though you want to build for the long term how does a guy like Joash develop on the bench or in reserve grade after starting an apprenticeship last year. How is bringing in Pezet for a year club first your not winning anything with him next year so hence why the move makes zero sense long term for me.

If Joash or whomever is our guy we want them to take lumps now not in 2027 when Pezet bails to Brisbane.Again a guy like Joash isn't getting better in reserve grade after starting his apprenticeship last year.

Regardless I just hope this is media noise Anasta trying to drum up interest in his guy to get the best deal because Pezet to Parra on a loaner just isn't long term beneficial for us.

      • Has Joash played more first grade than Pezet ?  The only benefit with this deal of for the Broncos , Moses will teach him a few things so he can kill it for the Broncos . Go Parra.

    • Spot on Bourbon. Lot of very short sighted people making comments

  • He is a good fill in for 2026, looking for a top 8 spot with this signing. Ryles knows what he is doing, he knows the (green) juniors coming.

    It will work for us

    • This makes no sense play Lorenzo now under Moses not wait until his fucking 54. Ryles doing this for his mate braith im sick of this club.

      • Use your brain.

Lorenzo is not ready yet. He's still eligible for SG Ball! He's not ready to play against men just yet!

Also, and did any of you think of this, maybe Zac Lomax has had second thoughts and wants to stay? Ryles did say that signing Pezet was contingent on Lomax going to R360.

"Papalii is an eels fan as a kid and loves the club. He wants to improve and for the club to do well. Pezet is just coming here to use us and then fuck off to broncos. Not the culture you want at a rebuilding club."

"Wrong, technically he was going to Penrith before anyone else was in for him then Wests said no and Penrith signed Talagi instead. We were in it til the end and Luke Vella was the deciding factor. "
