Pezet has shown he can cut it in first grade, our juniors haven't. Equally we don't know if our juniors will gel with Moses.
What we now know is that we're going to spend another year in limbo waiting to find out.
The halves market is going to be even more competitive in a years time and we've now consigned ourselves to have to plug a gap at the absolute worst time in the market where we will be guaranteed to overpay if we want to go outside the club.

Won't really have to go to market if Lorenzo kills it in nsw cup and is ready for nrl in 2027. That has to be the plan. Moses is definitely the shot caller till his deal is up in 2029
If he goes well - we've just developed a half for another team. If he goes badly - we've just inhibited the development of another potential half in our own team.
I know this is broken record stuff - but our R&R continues to be extremely subpar and our club will not be able to build sustained success without significant talent uplift in that area.
This is just such a weak move - the signals it sends to the player market is so bad. "Parramatta: You tell us what you want, we'll make it happen! Then you can go to the club you really want to play at".
I doubt Pezet comes here for that and Ryles even bothers with Pezet in Cup. Plus why sign Pezet anyway for that? Hawkins has Ryles trust, the way he talks about him. Pezet is signed to start.
"JAC and Penisini extended.
From the rest of the list it depends on how they develop but i'd extend Russell & Guymer and give Walker and Paulo reduced 1-year contracts
I'd keep Papalii if he's keen to be a backup fullback"
"Sick of this shit, we were a joke over nepotism from our previous coach. Now we have a coach that does favours for his mates.
I love what ryles has done this year, but this signing stinks. I pray and hope that we have signed a luke metcalf or…"
"Pop, we are making assumptions that Pezet is no prodigy whereas Grant is. The Tigers did not know that at the time and we have no idea what Pezet will bring.
Let's not forget about the last Storm halfback that was held back by better players ahead…"

Yeah if this deal is the case it is with an eye on Lorenzo more likely.
A picture of this Pezet deal.

This is pretty embarassing optically.

Hypothetical.
Pezet only plays 1st grade when Moses is in SOO or injured
Pezet is on a low money contract.
Joash continues to start and develop at 5/8th
I don't hate the signing
If that's was the case he would stay in Melbourne, this scenario is not happening.
Well he could have went to Brisbane now and do the same thing.
