Anderson it is then. He lives in Hills District apparently, so closer to home. He is a Parra boy through and through. I mean not a bad hire.
I rate Ando, but it's hard to ignore the difference of the immediate narrative (and the one the media will no doubt run with).
POS just procured a team that made the grand final. Off to the ever successful Broncos.
Ando just oversaw a squad that got the wooden spoon. Off to the Eels.
To his credit, this season the Dragons have recruited and retained well and won't be anywhere near the wooden spoon next year. Ando will be a 1000% improvement on what we have if we can land him, I definitely would have preferred POS though.
Ando also managed to get 5 decent signings to a club that at the time had no coach when he signed most of them. Now I am not as big on their signings as most, though he did a decent job to get them over despite where they were on the ladder. Saints for a while were like us, went for everyone and got nothing.
But what you said is 100% right, he automatically is better than what we have. Ando also tells it like it is. Smart football mind, though been dodgy in the past he keeps getting hired cause of his mind. He is a close you could get to the mind of Brian Smith.
Hell on the topic of Smith, man I wish there was a spot for him at the club.
Ya never know. If Ando comes , we might end up with young Rohan on our books . They have history. Only pie in the sky guessing, Rohan hasn't exactly set the coaching world alight. But I wouldn't say no if it brought Brian any closer to the club. The fact our club shut Brian down when he offered his blue print to our revival a couple of years ago, makes me hope the dopes who did this are gone or are going.
Id love to see what Smithy's blue print looks like.

Supposedly they offered him $2.5M (years?) and were also talking with the Storm guy - Paul Bunn.
