Current Perth Bears GM of football David Sharpe has not ruled out making a play for Zac Lomax, saying if the clause is cleared by Parramatta they would pursue him. Well issue is David you have nothing to offer us in order to waive the clauses. It is not like Sydney Roosters coming to us and saying they want Lomax and we can say we want Victor Radley in return for example. They would have nothing to give us. Now in 2028 could they as they have a roster and are a year in? Perhaps but wouldn't they just wait for another year and get him when his deal ends in 2029?
This is a nothing story, i put it up incase someone else chooses too. I wanted to get a head start and just drown it.

There is no bargaining chip with Perth.
The club would just wash their hands of him. I don't think he's as highly regarded in league club circles as he is in media circles. 2 contracts walked out on in 18 months. They don't mean anything to him.
I think a lot of people in the game were pissed off he had his head turned by 360 6 months into a 4 year deal. He's not reliable , doesnt buy into anything except himself and his own ambitions .. im not sure that makes anyone stronger.
I hear you but a lot of clubs would give us someone for Lomax. He's a top 3 winger in the nrl.
Does it really matter all I want to know is what's the plan to replace Lomax that's the real issue at hand if it's Simonsson yikes.
I woulld say the plan is to shake trees and see if anything falls out. How hard they shake them would depend on how we start the season and how much the depth is being tested.
When you shake a tree multiple times usually multiple things fall out. We only shake it once it seems and take what is given.
This whole Lomax affair is becoming a huge joke at every turn. I'm starting to question Lomax sanity.
This coming year his St George contract was for $850k throws it away to join the Eels
This coming year his Eels contract was for reported $650K, throws it away, visits and speaks to Western Force Union who can offer $150K a year.
Ryles wanted to let go an Australian representative, current State of Origin rep, and we don't understand why.
Lomax pulled out of the Ashes tests against England under the disguise of being injured but rumour has it he didn't actually want to play.
Eels have made no progress in signing any new talent with a huge warchest available right now.
Im not only confused and staggered, my mind is completely blown. You can't make this stuff up.
Has anybody knocked on Zak's forehead to see if anyone is home. I'm speechless in how Zac is systematically sabotaging his own career, it's making me sad to watch to be honest. And it's amazing to watch teams think they will sign him when i suspect Zac needs help of some kind. Just unbelievably sad, i'm starting to pity the bloke, and i swear the whole saga, with our club as well, is just a joke.
Do we have any plan to replace him, has anyone knocked on the Eels foreheads to see if any one is home. Whats the plan to spend our cap and sign whom we need. I guess we just all sit in the dark and accept the wisdom of our CEO / List Manager and trust they know what there doing. Hand over our membership cash, pay to buy the new jersey and just nod in agreement as we chase and sign that bloke called nobody. mmmmmmmmm
Why are we worried about Lomax. That's two contract in two years he's walked from. He talked sht about the dragons whilst under contract there causing considerable damage to team culture, now this
I say fark him and forget him . Seems like a selfish individual who throws his toys out whenever his toast is one shade too dark.
