Heard from a friend that some Islamic connections in Sydney will be using Haas to increase profile of Islamic events in Sydney. Could this be where some of Haas TPA is coming from and another reason to move to Sydney with much larger Islamic community.
SBW converting to Islam was a massive story and due to his popularity and influence many believe he helped get plenty of people to look into Islam with a more open view. Just like Mundine influenced SBW and others Haas could help convert other NRL players who look up to him as well. It will be interesting to see how often Haas and Islam stories appear in the coming year.
If religious groups can help provide funds for TPA should Parra be partnering up with Hillsong which is in our district and has has strong ties to various groups of Islanders and indigenous programs. I know many don't like to mix religion and sport however if it can assist in improving connections, TPAs and community engagement that improve the club I don't see why this avenue should be ignored. We have already had high profile players like Hayne involved in Hillsong.why not strengthen the relationship and try to take advantage.

You just watch all the bum muslim entourage that will follow him everywhere just like they did with mundine and sbw. All wanting a slice of the action. Payne just needs to be his own man and not let others influence his decisions. I was reading haas gave himself an alcohol ban to help with his revovery which is good. The thing that irritates me is i grew up with muslims and there was two that use to preach about how you should not drink alcohol but they both sold drugs work that out.
