  • Good question coyote. Its probably a bit early to tell. Being a prop has a lot to do with your build. Pauli has the strangest build ive seen on a forward. Hes got the biggest legs you would ever see with a head on him that reminds of a stick insect. In the past a props build have been massive legs, big up top, your height can vary but are gerally built closer to the ground like Junior with a good offload that loves being in the thick of defense. Paulis got the legs, his build up top may come with age, he has a great offload. My only concerns are his defense that possibly needs a little work and the fact that he is as tall as he is already. Props generally have have a big motor and are built a little closer to the ground so they have a steemroller effect in attack. If i were to put money on his position in a few years time it would be at prop or as a prop on the bench. My main reason for this answer is we have more quality second rowers and locks than we know what to do with and i rekn he will end up with a thicker set build with age.

    • couldn't agree more ^^

  • Yeah Prop.

He is listed 6ft 2in and 105KGS (probably more now).

We'll see a better Pauli Pauli in about 2 years once his body has developed more. Only 20 yrs old he is strong, but doesnt have a Mans strength just yet...Matt Scott who to me is the best Prop in the game until he got injured is 29 and it's only the last 2 or 3 years that he has been at the top of his game week in week out.

Pauli Pauli will be making 100 meters plus every game with ease.

    • They were tlaking about Pauli's weight on Triple M a while ago and apparently he's more like 115kg

  • I think he should be running the edges as a second rower. He is Big and mobile. He has decent speed and you have already seen him make numerous breaks down the sideline.
    • too slow on the edges especially on defense  an having the likes ov mau edwards, tepai, gower it be a smart move to position him at prop.

  • he actually trialled as a prop at the start of the year if i recall correctly, maybe that's how BA sees it.

  • Prop

  • In time I can see him as a prop, but Kelepi is also been trialled as a prop this season.

I'd definitely love to see him running on the edges with his size and speed he could create havoc. It's a good headache for BA to have.
  • In time he'll be a prop as we have good young second-rowers coming through. A middle forward rotation of: Mannah, Jnr Paulo, Pauli, Gower, and Edwards would be awesome imo then you have Tepai Moeroa, Manu Ma'u, and Tyrell Fuimaono on the edges and that's a very strong forward pack that will be quite cheap.

Just the forward pack you can have with 2 of the best players in the world in your spine.

"It is a mixture. But saying MON is the reason for Pezet is farcical. Ryles would have wanted it and MON got it done. That is practically MON's job. Same with GM's in other sports. Get an idea of what the coach wants, goes out and gets the best he…"
