Parramatta Eels’ NRL form is a testament to coach Brad Arthur and the spirit in his team

At the start of the season there were plenty of questions being asked about Brad Arthur’s coaching ability — and why players like Kieran Foran and Beau Scott would want to trust Arthur with their careers at this troubled club.

But how Arthur has been able to hold Parramatta’s house of cards together over the first two months of the competition almost defies belief amid the ongoing salary cap investigation.

It speaks volumes for Arthur’s man management as much as his tactical ability.

Even with a points deduction hanging over their heads, the players somehow remain convinced they can still challenge for the title this year.

I hope for the fans and the players sake that is still possible when the NRL finally hands down its sanctions in the coming week.

We all understand why cheating cannot be tolerated, but the players and the coach are surely the innocent parties in all this.

Boo Bailey’s take on Eels coach Brad Arthur’s season.

Along with the fans.

Do they all deserve to be punished because of the alleged actions of a few? You’ll get an argument for both sides on that.

What can’t be argued is that this team and their coach have done their long suffering fans proud.

Even if a lot of others at the club haven’t.

  • The Dalai Arthur for PM, seriously.

  • Waxing, nothing more or less, unless its soft soap..

  • Agree Ben, BA would get this nation humming.

  • Wash my eyes out with acid - what do you know a positive Eels story for once.

  • BA has been immense under all this pressure, he has built a fantastic team with great camaraderie.

It's just a shame all him and his teams hard work could go to waste due to the bungling clowns on the board and Admin.

  • You're facing the sack Paul Crawley. You make sense!

"I did modern day as 1998 onwards as I didn't see them play, as some here haven't. Where I believe majority of people here have seen all the modern day players play.
Plus it frees up some spots like we all know who 5/8 will be but now no idea."
