The Parramatta Eels are delighted to announce that star Josh Addo-Carr has agreed to a one-year contract extension, securing his place at the Club until the end of the 2027 NRL season.
Since arriving at Parramatta, Addo-Carr has been a standout performer and a fan favourite. Under the guidance of Head Coach Jason Ryles, the winger has rediscovered his best football, earning a spot in the Australian Kangaroos team where he proudly represented his country in the Ashes Test series.
Addo-Carr said he was thrilled to continue his journey with the Eels.
“I absolutely love this Club. Everyone here from the coaches to the players, management and admin staff, and of course our incredible fans have made Parramatta feel like home from the moment I arrived.
“Rylesy and the coaching staff have helped me become the player I always wanted to be, both on and off the field. I’m grateful for their belief in me and I’m excited for what we’re building together,” said Addo-Carr.
Parramatta Eels GM of Football Mark O’Neill said the extension reflects the impact Addo-Carr has made at the Club.
“We are absolutely delighted to have Josh remain with the Parramatta Eels through 2027. Josh has not only returned to his best form, but he has also shown tremendous leadership within our squad.
“Our younger players look up to him - his professionalism, energy, and experience have been invaluable. He’s a great person to have around the Club and someone who represents his family and his culture very proudly,” added O’Neill.
During his first season in the Blue & Gold, Addo-Carr reached significant milestones including 200 NRL games and over 150 career tries. His speed, finishing ability, and infectious personality have strengthened the Eels’ roster as the Club continues to build for the future.

I thought this was already established?
Not officially
Although he had another year left, it blocks the bears from signing him. I think one year is fine as it keeps him motivated
Great news - love the Fox's energy.
