Dear Members,
Parramatta Leagues’ Club (PLC) has received a Member Request for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).
The Club is reviewing the Request to ensure it meets legal requirements. Once this is determined, the Club will reach out to Members in due time to convene a General Meeting if required to do so.
The Club has been asked questions by members in response to publicly available statements in connection with this request, specifically whether a change on the Board of PLC will directly enable a change in control on the Board of Parramatta National Rugby League Club Pty Ltd (Eels).
For clarity, the PLC and Eels Constitutions are separate, and Members can find details on the interaction between the PLC and Eels Constitutions below.
Kind regards,
Chris Dimou
Chief Executive and Company Secretary

If this goes ahead (and I suspect it will given certain people behind this know exactly what it takes to trigger an EGM) it is a monumental waste of club funds, a distraction for our players, employees, directors and members alike and a thorough waste of time and energy.
I'd love for the people who triggered this to see the cost of actually running an EGM...and then to articulate exactly what they are proposing to solve by doing this.
In fact for anyone involved in this (including anyone who signed the request for an EGM) - I'd love to hear from you and understand "why".
I guess the fact that it's happening is enough reason. Obviously outside of 1EE land where everything's fantastic and the current mob are beyond question, people are so unhappy with the management they're willing to wonder if the last few bunches of crooks were any worse.
Why is cost all of a sudden a thing when we are throwing millions at underperforming players? Whats the difference in pissing money against the wall over underperforming administrators?
Let's not forget that this is simply a power struggle. We all thought these issues were well and truly behind us, but it seems to have raised its ugly head again. Parramatta is one of the biggest clubs in the country - why would you not want to have control so that you can get jobs for the boys and a slice of the pie? The protagonists here have no regard for the on-field success whatsoever, despite what they might lead you to believe.
Oh don't get me wrong , I agree. They don't care about anything but their egos . They've been responsible for whistle blowing the club they claim to love for salary cap infringements to cause instability in the past. They have no shame at all.
But... that doesn't change the fact that if the current guys were doing their jobs , these ninkumpoops wouldn't be able to get the support they've gotten in the first place.
so I don't begrudge them creating noise and turning eyes on these dickheads at all. It's no different to how the noise forced their hand to sack Arthur to save their own arses , now maybe they'll look within and sack a few passengers in the top office too.
