Our big signing Jayden Sua badly injured

Now let me tell people something, although I've been a big fan of Sua, Parramatta can't keep going down the road of signing 29 or 30 yeae olds.

People are going to say that injuries happen to anyone,  but thats incorrect,  as players get past 27 or 28 on average they become more injury prone

Now, look at the Panthers,  they hardly if ever sign players over the age of 27 hence their low injuries.  When their current players get to around 28 they let them look around for other opportunities and concentrate on keeping younger players for example,  Liam Martin at 28 is becoming heavily injury prone hence they are allowing him to go to November 1. Thats how its done. You don’t let players like Sam Tuivaiti get to nov 1 bs

Now the reason im saying this is because im hearing we're on the verge of signing another player very experienced but over the age of 30. Not sure who but Penrith would never do this.

Sua faces up to 6 months on the sidelines depending on the severity of the calf tear

  • Sua is in the sweet spot of his career . 29,30,31 years are a great time to get him.

  • Good,  the less games he plays for the dragons this year the less wear and tear on his body.

We do need to sign some older experienced players, particularly forwards as we have quite a few young inexperienced players coming into first grade, particularly forwards. It usually takes young forwards 3-4 years to become hardened first graders that can produce week after week in the grind of the NRL.

29-30 is not too old, after 32 different story.

  • Panthers have Gardner (30) and Papali'i (28 this year). I suppose we could swap recruitment for you Chief, hypthothetically. Them for Su'a, Wiliams, Kautoga, Samrani, Tuilagi.

  • Tuivita did a syndesmosis and MCL last year and this year has done his shoulder. 3 injuries in 1.5 years. Why should we resign a player that has been injury prone their full NRL career. Send him of the SL now lol.

    • EA, I know you're into Eels development more than most, but honestly look at the eels top 17 and tell us how many junior's have come through the system and are excelling in fg.

There's f all, and there's many more of our development players doing a good job at other clubs than there are at Parramatta.   Its been a fk job since o'neill has come in.  I know you have great faith in the current crop coming into cup, but I don’t because o'neill has nfi what's going on in development and we'll most likely lose the best players as what's been happening

      Twidle

      Khafusi

      Utokimanu

      Blaze

      Sanders

      Sam Hughes

      Stone

      Mahoney

      Russell

      Keppie  /  fringe bench

      And theres more

Who have Parramatta kept who are regularly in the 17 since o'neill joined

      Penasini

      Smith

      Sam

      Thats about it

So its a fcked up situation that our best development aren't kept. Until o'neill and Sarantinos are out, we shouldn't even talk about development because its a dead end at Parramatta as recent history suggests

Nathan Brown may change things up.but that remains to be seen

       Zero Parramatta DNA under O'neill

  • relax its a calf - he misses 6 weeks. Sucked in to Dragons for not letting him go early.

He will be fine for 2027

  • Were you saying the same about Keaon? He's 6 months younger than Su'A.

  • Su'A is 28. Since you want to compare us to Panthers, when was the last time Cleary played a full season (excluding when rested before finals)?

  • Imagine being so hungry for negative news on Parra, a player who won't play for us for nearly 9 months, a player who still plays for another team is used to attack the club.

Maybe if you weren't so hell bent on attacking anything to do with the eels club you might enjoy life more and actually find some positive things in your life to enjoy.

I'm depressed for you and how much the eels club seem to upset you.   Maybe following sport and especially the Eels isn't for you, go find a hobby outside of footy as your obsession with bringing down the eels club is starting to resemble Wile E Coyote obsession with Road runner.

Your attacks don't even register on the clubs radar yet you continue day after day trying to make anyone listen to your ramblings.

"Fair, though clubs will pay him as a 6. Let's see him with a proper 7 though. Who knows. "

"Hooper was also the one that had the way off Origin team. Plus same company Kent does poddy with and mates with Hoops, he said Galvin 100% done at Parra. So not great from that mob."
