  • Players to watch highlighted

  • Sweet Chief, thanks didn't realise it was televised. Miss those days.

I wonder if we see Tuivaiti pulled out and either Mataele, Guymer or Edwards playing Cup.

  • Is our Flegg #7 no good, or not ready to step up to reserve grade?

Why not play him instead of Twidle.?

    • Nah I don't rate him. Fletcher is injured which is also why cause would be our normal Flegg 7

      • Thanks EA. I guess we go with whoever is the best fit at the time.

  • Ryley Smith back playing. I thought his injury duration was longer

  • Eels 18 - knights 16 in HT at JF. Eels dominant first 10min but then knights had a dominant 20min period to make 6-16. Then last 10min of the half eels were dominant again to take the 18-16 lead. Our right edge has conceeded all 3 tries and being exposed. Nunn, Koina and Popo have had great carries through the middle. Koina is really another Carrigan and Popo like another Cotter than cleans everything defensively with his great mobility. His carries can be very strong too with his nugget built and footwork

    • Forgot to mention that Bamblett and Petrus have been relatively quiet. Lui in the 6 has been our best easily.

      • Popo 2nd best for us. His leg speed as well to what I mentioned has been amazing.

        • eels lose 32-24. I feel Rankin made a couple mistakes today. He took Popo off after eels were up 24-16 and from there eels were on the backfoot and cou'dnt recover. Rankin played 2 backrowers in Famui and Nauer in the middle which left us exposed down the middle. Knights took advantage of this. By the time Popo, Koina and Nunn were back in the middle together it was too late. I also hope Rankin uses this game to drop JF players who have reached their celing for the younger boys with higher potential. I can't see any off them moving into nsw cup next week since NRL players are returning from injuries.

          1. Bamblett
          2. Sorovi
          3. Howlett
          4. Leuluai
          5. Rokusuka
          6. Lui
          7. Moujali
          8. Popo
          9. Coinakis
          10. Nunn
          11. Petrus
          12. Famui
          13. Koina
          14. Hudson
          15. Ofonoa
          16. Miller (not sure why he didnt play today) / Kotorac (not sure on his schoool commitments)
          17. Naeur

"It isn't quite the same discussion though.
The original comment was "of course he's a Parra junior" in response to Faulalo playing well, which to me reads as "there's another player we've let go who is going to make us regret it."
My response was…"
