Up against last year's Grand Finalists, playing the Sharks at home the girls come away with the 2 points.
Rory Owen, Eels centre had a cracker as did both edge back rowers Jackson and Travis.
Lots of effort and a much deserved win.

Watched it last night. Our left centre and left edge forward were absolute guns and had a lethal combo. Fullback and halves were also solid and all were willing to have the tough carries.
I get it's the first round but similar to last year we have some very lazy forwards and most breaks came from X balls and the inside not pushing across or up. Might get better with fitness but it's a concern that it's a similar issue to last year.
The womens game certainly has improved just from a skill level over what it was a few years ago. Sharks did seem the more likely to go on with it, but they hung in there for the win. That left centre was amazing to watch and was a threat every time she got it.

What a showing of effort and endeavour, proud of our girls.
