NRL issue warning to Moses

NRL ISSUE MITCHELL MOSES A WARNING!

The NRL have issued Eels halfback Mitchell Moses a “warning letter” after last nights game against the Tiger’s, mentioning his behaviour towards the referee.

DiD Gough get a letter? Has anything from Referees boss been clarified from yesterdays game?

      • This was a fucken joke of a call. Letter of the law is that if Williams second effort dives over will be reviewed by the bunker. All tries are. They will see his ball playing arm touched the floor while a defender had a hand on him. THIS CONSTITUES A TACKLE. YOU WILL HEAR THOSE VERY WORDS COME FROM THE BUNKERS MOUTH. But Peter PinDick states to Moses "You cant challenge a held call" but the bunker can rule on a tackle during a double movement? Games fucked Im sorry, yesterday was the worst Ive seen a ref perform in recent times.

        • I'd love to know why the bunker doesn't step in at the moment! Always wonder this.

recall a game few years back v raiders with Atkins reffing and in the bunker think it was Belinda (maybe Klein)and she brought the game back to our end of field coz she found something we did incorrectly haha helped the raiders not so much us. They can Fckn well intervene when they want is my point 😡

tbh it's getting a little too much now and all those bagging Moses and comparing him to cam smith never losing it ffs...WHEN was it storm copped the shit we do and have been on the end of esp this year!?

        • Absolutely agree

  • All the talk of Moses getting heated with the ref misses the point. The fact Moses managed not to clip Gough over the ear multiple times for shit refereeing means Moses should be getting the Nobel Peace Prize rather than a warning letter.

    • Exactly

    • Me too Daz

he is wearing massive heat in the media since . I said on the Parra eels page time for the club to stand up and ask questions !!! Don't just leave it to Mitch on the pitch !!!!

  • I thought this was an interesting read:

No, NRL referees do not have to yell "held" on every single tackle. While it is standard practice to shout "held" to declare a tackle complete and initiate the play-the-ball process, referees often omit it if the momentum stops instantly, the tackle is straightforward, or if they are allowing play to flow, according to discussions on
    TotalRL Forums and MarathonStadium.
Key points regarding the "held" call:
    • Definition: According to the NRL Laws & Interpretations, a tackle is technically complete when a player is held and forward momentum stops, regardless of whether the referee shouts, says SO the penalty goal that won the Tigers the game was given after Williams was stopped at the Tigers try line and according to the NRL rules Williams was held as his momentum had stopped! It didn't require referee Gough to yell 'HELD' and it was this incident that Moses questioned the referee! It was after this that the Tigers were given possession and attempted the field goal which led to the penalty. Shame the Referee doesn't know the rules
    • Thanks that is Interesting! Mitch knows the rules and of course gets frustrated getting knocked back on his right to challenge not the first time either!

mitch is a Fckn human and perhaps there's only so much one can take!

it started with Hopgood in round one and judt continues coz our club and sadly even our coach are now easy targets :(

we all knew it would be bad but it's out of hand now!

  • Ive seen many times when Teddy approuches the ref in kina the same way as Mosses did yesterday the ref has a word, why didnt he say the same kida thing yesterday.

    • Absolutely Tedesco acts like they are mates going out for a bevy most matches
