So Peter V'landys has expressed interest in having an inclusion round in the future, that relating to LGBTQ+ community. Most NRL clubs have already warned the NRL that the concept will not have the desired result.
What does everyone else think? Should we do a part two of a blog i wrote months ago about certain rounds that should be included and people went in their own direction and was hilarious. Maybe can strike gold twice so do your worse haha.

It's rubbish, they have lost the plot. Are we going to now have inclusion rounds for different religions and different races? How about Men of Middle Eastern Appearance round? As far as I'm concerned once you put on your Eels jumper you are included regardless of race, religion, gender or how you get your kicks
He'd be crazy to do that. Hasn't the Manly saga been enough of a lesson? You can include inclusion / diversity in your messaging without dedicating an entire round to it.
One of the benefits of a uniform is that it does not discriminate. So it doesn't matter your background, if you pull on the jersey you're one of us. End of story. That should be the only message.
Well said Mutts, if any player in the Eels squad comes out as gay, as long as he gives his all in our jersey couldn't care less about his sexuality.
Same with race, white or black i support Parramatta players regardless. I hate players like Luai for example, if he put on an Eels jersey, then i will love him as any player it is how it works. You wear our colours you are one of us.
why cant people just carry on with there business in private. why does this have to be rammed down our necks, especially our children.
This is not a good idea. It puts people of faith in an awkward situation. It is not fair for the players that won't to be politically neutral. What's next? Muslim, Jewish or Christian round? Once you put that jersey on you're included no matter your beliefs or opinions on this subject. Give it a rest already.
Added to my blog, this is where i see the players point of view of forcing this upon us. Im a firm believer in that sports are an escape from this. Seeing players of different cultures and race in the NRL right now shows inclusion. Its a damned if you do damned if you dont situation. Do it and players refuse to play making the round dreadful, do not do it and get called homophobic.
As others have noted, the jerseys do not discriminate, if you are a God fearful player, atheist, Gay, straight, black, white, no one gives a rats, you pull on the jersey that the fans support and as long as you can play well, do your job that is all the fans want.
There is no need for PVL to listen to gay pride activists like domestic abuser Ian Roberts.
The woke would support this inclusion round but would appose a straight Christian round.
This shit is just absolutely ridiculous.
The very nature of all this constant virtue signalling under the guise of 'inclusion' means that others are actually excluded and division is furthered or often reinforced. We're in the age of smart people being silenced so that stupid people are not offended. The age of pseudo-moralistic stances on every damn social issue (regardless of whether there actually is a problem) so that people and organisations can look good to their friends, colleagues, their industry, society etc. People are becoming no longer people, but agendas.
What exactly is the issue trying to be solved? Does the NRL have a rule that gay people cannot play RL?
Isn't every round an inclusion round? There are indigenous players, islander players, Caucasian players. Players born in Australia and all around the world. There are Muslim players, Christian players, catholic players as well as heterosexual, homosexual and bisexual players!
The only time a player is not included is if they are injured or playing poorly and dropped from the first grade team. But they are still included by playing in lower grades!
The NRL has a woman comp that is also inclusive for all! The common theme is the jersey. The colours and jersey of the team does not discriminate and is inclusive representing the team, the league, the players, the club, the fans and the area. All together all inclusive.
If the NRL keep virtue signalling like Manly fiasco they might find more and more supporters excluding them,
