Just wondering what peoples thoughts are about this New NRL Rule which is going to be tried out Thursday night in the Storm vs Broncos match. It means that the team that has conceded points either through a try, penalty goal or field goal scored against them can decide via their captain if they want to take the kick off or receive the incoming kick. I'm not sure if I like the idea.

Correction, finally happened. Awkward as.
Was interesting hearing Cam Munster talk about it after the game. He gave the impression that there's no consultation with the players on these brilliant PVL rules that change how the game is played.
Yep, it was hard to miss but what do we expect from a seedy racing identity. The game is going downhill at a rapid rate (6-agains, bunker issues, farcical PNG cap, new rules) and this twit is at the centre of it.
This game was inconsequential so the teams didn't really care about gaining advantage. It wasn't a match where we can say it helped or hindered anyone
I did think when the storm had someone sin binned then conceeded a try it helped them to recieve the ball and stop the broncos taking advantage. Never seeing that rule get the green light I think. Players hated it lol
The rule will create issues and hamper late comebacks, however I did enjoy watching the Broncos & Storm being relegated to mere guinea pigs for the rest.
this is garbage, this gives the team who hasnt got or earnt the right for the advantage and takes it from the team that did. This will only distroy the game just like all the new changes coming in, erroding the true fabrics of the game all for showmanship and what the dipsticks in charge see as attracting viewers creating more wealth. It is only making it harder to watch and as with 6 agains which are pure minipulation of the game and is just blanten cheating. Look at the bunker how they look at views 6,7 and 8 times and still get it wrong when averge fans see the first view and get it right. They are turning this great game into a game of grab and just like touch will never get the viewing like the real game with the real rules.
It's bringing in a rule to fix another rule. Instead of realising that getting rid of the problem suits better.
"Have a problem with momentum with 6 again's? Well this new kick-off rule stops that momentum issue"
Sure or hear me out, get rid of 6 again's? Just idiotic. I like PVL and what he has done for the game but his problem is if left to his own devices does too much. It is never enough to leave it, he needs more. Needs to be different.
would preffer that LB getting rid of 6 agains as it would stop the minipulation (cheating) of refs and those above and making the refs accountable for there inadequate reffing. Also the bunker with so many wrong calls after watching all angle shots 7, 8 and sometimes and still get it wrong, this is complete incompentent and they should actually be sacked.
