    • Typical Parramatta , no recruitment officer .,

      • Wizard - recruitment  😅😅

        • There's not enough money in the world to convince me to work in that organisation 😂

You're only missing Coach / Turtle as the GM of Football .

          • Wiz, I must confess these politician cunts are starting to get to me. Have you been following some of the alleged proposals from this economic round table bullshit that took place last week?

The buzz phrase is intergenerational inequality. 15% tax on super in pension phase is one of the things the media has latched on to!!! FMD. I was ok with them taxing balances over $3 million but this is getting out of hand.

            • ummm I saw someone mention an empty room tax . So if you have a 5 bedroom house and your kids have shot through, heaven forbid mum gets a sewing room and dad gets a quiet space to have a wank. Nope these socialist bastards are going to force us out of our homes with taxes so Pakies and Muzzy with 5 wives can have it.

Bro... I've been paying attention , don't you worry.

Anyone who voted Labor hang your fucking heads in shame. You drank the socialist Kool  Aid .

              • ABC interviewed some sheila from the Grattan Institute who gave the keynote address at the last day, I think partly her idea.

Major tax reforms are on the horizon, nothing off the table - reforms to income tax, how superannuation is taxed and capital gains tax.

When Chalmers was interviewed afterwards by ABC Insider he was asked the direct question on three occasions about taxing retirees who are in the pension phase of their superannuation he refused to rule it out.

                • So are you saying the tax system should never be changed? If so, then I think you have missed something that's happened multiple times over the last 50 years.

As for the sensationalist ideas clickbaited in news com etc ...there were probably a similar amount of more mundane ideas that weren't considered news worthy.

I suggest we all just wait to see what comes out of it. My guess is not a great deal that will lead to political suicide. Baby steps, I reckon.

                  • I quoted my source, ABC insider if you care to watch the interview you can do so for yourself. When you've invested a substantial portion of your investments into a particular area which has always been tax free at a particular time and this comes under threat it is concerning. Maybe you don't have much at stake? Given the overwhelming majority labour hold it's a fairly common opinion that they'll be in for at least one more term after this so now is the time to push things through.

                    • It's scary mate, my wife and I are seriously looking at getting out of the country.

This war on the middle class and eroding of freedoms the last ten years is heading down a Orwellian route.

Freedom to control one's health and body -medical tyranny, medical mandates

                      Freedom of movement-lockdowns, digital passports

Economic freedoms- digital currency and erosion of cash

Freedom of speech - online censorship, e commissioner, age verification

Surveillance -encroaching on the right to privacy, freedom of expression and right to assemble.

Parlay all that into the media propaganda dished up nightly and the fact Australia has 20 trillion in natural resources but we're the fourth most taxed country in the developed world .

On the Gold Coast it's a 1.5 hour wait for an ambulance and 4.5 hour ramp at hospital or pay $600 dollars to go private , roads that are heavily congested , education system where numeracy and literacy standards drop year on year, the signing of the Lima agreement ensured the death of manufacturing in this country.

Fuel excise is now over %50, alcohol and Tabacco excise is through the roof.

Every where I go government interfering in my life with their hands in my pocket, if you complain your a racist right wing neo nazi.

The media wonder why there's a march on the 31 of August.

Im sure a lot recent immigrants think Australia's great while they pocket welfare and vote for their mate Albo who dishes out the dollars but anyone else who's been here a while has seen their living standards continue to drop through economic mismanagement, political protectionism all the while getting gaslit when you speak up about the countries direction.

When people are shamed because they fly their own country's flag or celebrate their national day the country is already lost.

What's this place look like in ten years, not sure I want to know.

                    • It has everything to do with every government since John Howard.  Albanese has just carried the torch and has done nothing about the cost of living crisis/ economic mismanagement

Don't just blame Albanese,  its governments no matter who's in.

A change of government will do zero
