Name and Shame the players

Unfortunately so many players need to be dropped after this performance. Lets go down the list.

  • Russel - How tf he didnt score that is beyond me. I actually believe he is a goot footy player but has no atheletic ability which means he gets exposed at NRL standards. He is like the opposite of W Blake who was blessed with so much Athletic ability but had zero footy skills.
  • Harper -  he was not bad tonight and actually had good carrys in the first half. But he simply needs to make more ball and all tackles when we are scrambling in defence. Probably unfair to drop him considering are replacements are worse.
  • Asi - he will get rested anyway but the pass to Lane, 20m restart, tackle on Isaako (put his body in a horrible position).
  • This is where we start the proper horrible pefromances which is the forward pack who are meant to be one of the best in the comp:
    • Lussick: I will put my hand up and saying I thought he would be a good signing but fuck me ded he only had a good 2 weeks. He never puts our forwards on the front foot by drawing markers like top tier dummy halves. His crash balls and attempts from DH are useless. He offers worst first contact in defence than Mahoney. He is left on the floor so much, makes no attemtp to return to defensive lines and allows quick play the balls. Part of this is on BA for not having Hands on the bench. 35 tackles with 5 missed and 5 inffective.
    • Carty - his worst pefromance in the blue and gold. Carty of the gold cost titans. Errors in attack and afraid to tackle in defence. It must be the injury to his ribs surely because at the start of the season he was folding people. His defence on kick returns was so bad he made Fuller looking like prime Inglis. His effort when Dolphins kept scoring was hopless. No effort to control the ruck or make tackles. Let him recover or if he is fine drop him to reggies after that.
    • Moretti - when your role is to have a quick stint of impact you cannot be dropping the ball and missing tackles.
    • Hopgood - first poor game in an eels jersey in defence. He put in the effort but just mssed 3 tackles and 3 ineffective tackles. Obviously would not drop him.
    • Just quickly. I looked at Matto's number in defence and they were actually good. So was he poor in defence?
  • When addressig the forward pack as a whole ther ability to control the ruck in the second half was horrible. If you watch it, our markers are called not square so many times because we simply could not win a tackle. So with the markers ruled out of the play they just kept attacking behind the play the ball with JMK and we got fucked from their with poor efforts. I thought Carty and Moretti were poorin this part
  • Our attack was pedestrian. I want to blame DB but after knowing BA and than hearing Barret at halftime I think it is the coaching staff. It looks like they did not expect many points in the game. So were they directing DB to follow a horrible game plan. Cause DB barely ran and our ruck speed in attack was poor as we spread the bal of slow play the balls. Oly danger we had was off ofloads.
  • Depending on the performances in NSW Cup, I would be going with
  1. Gutho
  2. Russel
  3. Penisni
  4. Harper (move Simmo to centre and Sivo to wing if Sivo somehow finds form)
  5. Simmo
  6. DB
  7. Sanders
  8. RCG
  9. Hands (give Lussick a game or two in NSW Cup. Than I would be using Hands and Lussick combo for the rest of the year with Hands on the bench. Neither are capable of playing 80mins every week. Hands will be fine playng 80min against Manly since Manly attack on the edges and DH normally get less tackles against them)
  10. Joe O
  11. Tualagi
  12. Lane
  13. Hopgood
  14. Matto
  15. Paulo
  16. Doorey
  17. Talagi (I think carrying an outside back against Manly is critical. They attack out wide so need some cover their).

          • You are spot on EA Junior was our best forward and tried really hard to inspire them and your comment about line speed was very correct.

            • I must be missing something, he looks slow, unfit and not interested most of the game to me. Don't get me wrong he does some good things, but for $800k a season you expect that.

Pops you live in qld don't you? Can you smuggle Bennett down here, twist his arm or whatever is needed to get him to Parramatta.

              • Look I hope we can get Bennett, BUT he is very much his own man.....whether he wants to be in Sydney, whether he wants to coach Parra ....are all subjective issues.

My best hope would be, what I thought Gibson did. i.e. the challenge of a coach to get the best out of Parramatta....."ding dong the witch is dead".

Some one needs to convince Wayne that his greatest landmark in a coaching career of greatness would be crowned by winning a premiership with Parramatta.

My personal observations are that he has no attachment to our club or has not respected us since the eighties. It is unlikely he will bring any of the Dolphin's to Parra as his ethics would not allow it. He will though attract plenty who will die just to be coached by him.......Shit I don't know whether I could stand having Latrell at Parra, but I learnt to love Fergo, so why not?

Don't be surprised to see someone like French return, French being the type of player that BA would not touch. BA does not like spontaneous players that he can't control in his vision of the game being played...... Moses for example and also DB would both be freed to a much higher degree than they are now.....will it happen??? I have always supported BA untill someone better comes along.....after seeeing the way Flanagan has improved St George's defence, I am ready to say enough is enough, time to go......I love the fact that BA is a true blue Parra man..... but he can just learn to watch like the rest of us.

The club management would also need to make a lot of subjective changes to meet his autocracy. Finally he has no natural juniors emerging that he can see within our pathways. We have shown so far this year that our juniors are not that highly rated......exception being Matt Arthur.

Good on you Bradley, you are starting to think a bit, you would agree its not your major strength but by participaing in these discussions you will learn more. Look at Fongy he thinks he is still teaching me....he just hasn't learnt to take the piss properly yet Lol/

                • It would put him as the greatest coach ever if he got a premiership. It would give him one last big challenge, but yeah we will see. Parra probably aren't even interested.

French just signed 3 or 4 year I think overseas, he won't be back. He is racking the dollarsbin over there and enjoying himself.

Our pathways is completely shot, Wentworthville used to be the club everyone wanted to play for because it was parras reserve grade club.

Mate if I think to much I start getting cranky and wonder why I even try with some idiots in this world. But thank you for the compliment and I'm trying. As for learning more, will see how I go haha. No you are right about the Fong, he bites back very quickly and struggles to know the difference between a joke and serious time. Or when he is just simply getting wound up, it's nothing personal. Just boredom or fun at the time.

  • Name and shame the players? You must mean the team list it comes out Tuesday that will have them all.

  • I think Ba cooks his players pains were so fresh and young perfect for the trip

  • Unfortunately, in this space, the biggest problem are our three biggest earners, Paulo, RCG and Matterson. The others you mentioned are beginning to be found out as imposters. We need a mass clean out.In a perfect world we would keep:

Gutho (to transition new culture, then move on)

Penisini: does make the odd mistake but the only back with thrust.

    Brown

    Moses

    Hopgood

Carty: benefit of the doubt at the moment

Unfortunately you can't turn over a whole squad at once, but we need mass changes. This squad is to infected with the same indifference that has plagued the club for 40 years.

It goes without saying, the board, CEO and coaching staff should ALL be told to pack their bags.

We need to start from scratch. No more 5 year plans.

    • If we get Bennett for example, he will bring in at least 4-5 players. He will sign a Winger or 2, a Utility, an Edge and perhaps a middle also.

Though i have to say, if you are starting from scratch you need a plan. Cannot go from scratch and just plan year by year, need to build in hindsight. It is a shame we are wasting Moses' years, though he will have 3 years left just get someone like Bennett to go all in.

    •  Cartwright was probably our worst player last night. His stupid penalties, loose carries were compounded by his truly horrible defence.

      • Agree, he somehow reverted to his Titans form. Maybe the humidity caused him flashbacks?
