I was kinda hoping moses would not play world cup so he could focus on the eels and not be a risk injury wise, but alas, with Cleary out of action now, surely moses is a walk up start to the 7 jersey. Lets just hope he stays injury free, and will also come back later into pre-season trianing. i know im being selfish here, i should be saying good luck and well done, but i just know he will pick up an injury and be out at the start of next season as a result.

It's a hypothetical scenario. I've taken as much intrest in the " world " cup , as I have the NRLW , zilch. Actually that's a lie, I don't mind a perve on the NRLW .
I knew Moses declared for Australia, but what happens if he's not selected ? He simply sits in the stands , or does he go tail between the legs to the Lebbos ? Actual question ? It's that much of a farce how you can just identify as whatever you like , these players will have their own float at Mardi Gras next year. How long before we have our very own " fury's " team in the NRL?
as for Ponga , I rest my case , it's ridiculous. Point still stands , if Moses played for Canterbury , not a single person here would be pleading his case. The fact we chose to highlight injuries and Pongas newly found country instead of tackling the point , kinda says it all.
Were we outraged when NSW players got picked for kangaroos after being whitewashed year after year at Origin ? Nah. Did not seem to be of consequence then . There's far more to who's picked than an origin game 6 months ago . Moses form and attitude was rubbish this year.
As I said , if he is selected cool, if he's not , there are plenty of reasons why not other than a big QLD conspiracy. As you say , he was picked last year and it wasn't on form. Let's forget origin for a minute and ask ourselves , is he even in the top 5 Aussie halfbacks this season ? If not are we only tooting his horn as he's an Eel?
And he hasn't set the world on fire at that level of late , just sayin, did he even get a run ?
Moses weeks ago was all set for Lebanon, until recently where he said he will play for Australia. That tells me Walters has told Moses he will be in the squad. Walters loves Moses.
With that being the case, I think Moses does start at 7.
Maybe, but Walker has had a breakout in origin since that English tour (which Moses went on and didn't play the Tests), Walker also was instrumental in his prelim(MOM) comeback game and arguably plays for GF Winner this week and lets not forget that he is a Qlder and his family are all close with the Walters family.
On top of this Munster at 5/8 and the Qld Hooker, who is a disaster for Moses......doesn't seem to recognise him as the play maker, trust me he will pass off the ruck to Munster as much as he can get away with, alternatively pass when the long kick is on.
Who won Origin Walker and Munster or was it Cleary ball playing and Moses kicking. Moses in a walk in for that 7 mate.
No drama with Moses playing for Australia. Behind the best pack in the world just organising everything. He'll do fine and prob rest a few games to.
So we just name the NSW origin squad ? Job done.
Look, it's just a few games, with intensity way down on Origin. I think Ryles has come to the conclusion that Moses won't be around week in week out, hence trying to sign Volkman as back-up half, who is likely to play a significant role in 2027 anyway. The more exposue Moses gets to elite football the better he will be, and can hopefully bring some of that back to the club. It's just a shame we don't have anyone else even close to consideration for Kangaroos selection.
JAC would have been a roughie, Marky Mark out and lots of wingers injured or out of form.
