Well you're right about one thing, Chiefy. Einstein did say time is relative to the motion of the observer, and your motion is toward any conclusion that can be made (by whatever means necessary) highly negative.
By your logic, though, the Bunnies in 2026 are a miracle. In 2025 the Bunnies had 10 players suffer injuries putting them out for the season, which by your logic is 10 years worth of injuries, so realistically the Bunnies should struggle to field a side until 2035
Oh i was more so saying it is not overly important, hence my admission of only one title in the 80's. As you said it is not overly important. It is an oddly placed competition. Those who are great are either in NRL or NSW Cup by the time they are 19/20. Same with 21.
Look at our current NSW Cup team and NRL team. Here is who is eligible for Flegg.
Da Silva 21
Tuivaiti 21
Alamaddine 21
Vaivela 21
Talataina 20
Lokeni 21
Funa-Iuta 20
Talagi 19
Visconti 21
Beattie 21
Penisini 21
Fletcher 19
Either in NRL, NSW Cup or injured. I mean that is a lot. As i said before, out of Matts, Ball, NSW cup and NRL, Flegg is probably dead last in importance. The only benefit of it is for kids coming out of Ball to get some good footy under their belt against older players. Once good enough they move to Cup anyway.
Talagi has done that. Petrus has as well, Koina will be next. It is a place holder comp if anything. It is a good league for 18 year olds who show promise to play against stronger competition. Though as soon as it becomes easier, they are into Cup for their proper development.
Gone of the days of Holden Cup where players would skip NSW Cup into NRL. It still happens but is quite rare compared to the Holden Cup days where it was more frequent.
LB, be cateful, some are going to be offended that you would introduce facts into a discussion about lower grades' success or not and what it might mean or not.
"I saw him at Fairfield training ripping apart, was probably one of the fittest forwards on that day. I think we're on a winner with big T. Just need to keep big Sam as his future front row partner
And to the posters who say im always negative, …"

Mind you, we only won 1 Flegg title in the 80's. Only 3 overall; 1970, 1985 and 1990.
JF is the least important comp to win. It's just a fill in comp. Best players of JF are in nrl or cup

Yeah the goal should be for your best 18-20 year olds going to Cup.
I mean EA would know more than me, but Petrus has had two games in Cup, I reckon Koina is not far behind.
But same people who complain how bad we are in Flegg would also complain why aren't certain players ready for NRL as they've been in Flegg.
Beattie is only 20
Even better he has 1 more year of Flegg.
Sorovi and Bloomfield.
