I doubt they would be keen on Pezet just for the year. Though Smith is the perfect Hooker for Dogs. He does what Haywood does but better.
Hayne is an idiot. Pezet only have 5 months left before he becomes a Bronco, no1 will be interested in him and Rylie is playing cup to get a few games under his belt before coming back to 1st grade, like what Ryles does with others returning from injuries.
Issue with the logic on Smith is he played full 80 and still not in the 19. Usually Ryles plays them for half a game in Cup, maybe fiull game, then back the following week. Smith basically missed 2 weeks, so not much footy missed. It was more so can he handle the contact with the sternum and playing 80 would show he could.
Don't be surprised if Da Silva and Edwards is the new norm.
Reckon that would be to see if his body is up to the workload and to se how he pulls up
Well he had that in Cup last week playing 80? How much more minutes does he need? Not like he had 8 weeks off.
Yeh sternum injuries are notoriously bad for healing and can reoccur just as easy as any other injury if not easier. I think people are otherthinking it and that his injury was worse then previously thought
Ok, if the case why is he playing and why not rest up so it is 100% clear? We have Edwards at least so no need for him right now if not 100% also why play full 80?
He could be back next week and all good but I just find it coincidental that Ryles mentions with Edwards it gives him the freedom to play one Hooker in NRL for big mins and the other in Cup for big minutes and Smith is starting in Cup.
Well thats a question for someone who is in the know and that aint me. JR is probably saving Smith from himself (sounds weird considerig he's playing cup) or purely managing the injury hehas or just wanting to see how TDS goes with more minutes or any number of scearios that might be playing out.
what possible benefit is pezet for 10 odd games to the dogs especially with a hammy injury blue eel
