Money money money

Hi all, this is not exactly an eels blog but I was wondering about player payments. Lately we have seena crackdown on illegal play. Some players get fined and more serious illegal play gets them suspended. The play who gets fined obviously cops a personal monatary hit ( note the pun). But for the player who is suspended does he also lose money while suspended or is he still paid the same money while suspended. If his pay is reduced while suspended then he is penalised twice. Also, do injured players (some out for months) take a pay cut while not playing.

  • Don’t have an answer to your question however since on the subject of fines, I would rather see the fine a percentage of a players salary rather than the fine being a fixed amount. Munster copped a $1150 fine. Probably no big deal for a player on his salary however a big hit for a player on the minimum.

    • The kick was more than a fine. No penalty or suspension for a undeniable dog act. How many games did he get suspended the last time he kicked someone, sinbin I recall but nothing last night. That bullshit excuse he gave was worth a fine.

Nothing mentioned about late contact to the head on the To'o try. Holmes could have avoided it but instead cut his eyebrow. DB got 3 weeks pre crack down.

J Arrows leg twist on Cleary after his kick also dog act. Cleary gets hit alot post kick but this one he reacted to. Why? Dog act.

    • That's like fining drivers a percentage of their wage for running a red light .  Why should I pay more than some deadshit for the same infringement just because I work harder ?
