According to Dr. Google đ Mitchell Moses has played the following amount of Club Games for Parra. Quote:
"Â Mitchell Moses has missed a total of 41 club games for the Parramatta Eels over the past three years (2023 to June 2026) due to a combination of injuries and State of Origin commitments." That equates to about missing 57% of games over the past 3 years. In comparison Nathan Cleary has missed 26 club games over the past 3 years at a percentage of 36%
In comparison to half backs who have played the most for their respective clubs they are: Adam Reynolds, Chery Evans and Jerome Hughes despite obvious injuries. Reynolds has played 76, Evans 76 and Hughes 75

We will never , ever , ever , know.  But there's a bit of stench with him and his Origin injuries , so in my opinion fans have every right to question his Eels commitment. You don't have to be Marty McFly with a Delorian and sport's almanac to know Moses sitting out with injuries due to Origin is part of our upcoming season.  Yet he still refuses to commit himself exclusively to Parramatta .Â
Which hey , that's his right and prerogative, but it comes with criticisms when the injury happens. Â
Heâs being unfairly questioned on commitment here. The broader evidence doesnât support that narrative heâs consistently played through pain and injury when medically cleared, which is exactly what you expect from a committed club player.
And if the argument is really âheâs not committed to Parramatta,â then it also doesnât line up with reality, ifÂ
The Bulldogs situation is a medical call around a hamstring, not a behavioural choice. The commitment narrative just isnât supported by the facts we actually have.
We will have to agree to disagree here .  We read lots of speculation on here when he's had a quiet game he " must be or looks to be , playing injured ". I know yes he's played origin with a broken back , and had a few niggles with that've kicked off during a match for us he's hobbled around with , but once he's officially injured he hardly rushes back.  This may be the doctors saving him , and it may be the coach that's written the season off  choosing to let him sit out to ensure he's ready next season.  But as I said , it's mostly speculation on forum chatter.  And we will never actually know. We do know he sat out the whole arse of a season and then miraculously came good ready for a Kangaroo tour, if I'm correct injured himself again and sat out 6 first rounds of the following season ?  . There's a lot of examples that fans have obviously started questioning.Â
Â
He is by far our best player , which is why it's become a point of discussion. Fans are hurting , they're still turning up , and it feels like Moses always finds a way to put his rep career over his Eels obligations at their expense.Â
With Australia, he had a torn bicep. By the time finals bit was when his recovery was nearly done, he moved into fitness. By the time Kangaroos played in 2024 he had 6 weeks after his full recovery time to prepare for Kangaroos, he was not match fit from all the time off but was full healed from the bicep.
Then his foot reaggrivated from mismanagement and the screw in his foot. The screw was removed and he recovered.
So those examples are a bit far fetched. Frustrating yes but Kangaroo tour in 2024 especially is not an argument in my opinion.
If he puts his rep career over the Eels how did he not rush back for game III last year? Yeah it was a calf strain and 4-6 weeks and didn't return til 2 weeks after game III but wouldn't he of tried to rush for game III with that perception? Between when he did the calf to Game III was 3 and a bit weeks. His injury was 4-6, he could have pushed if that is his priority.
But fair call to make it an agree to disagree as we both are frustrated with his injuries from rep footy. Though for different reactions from it. Your frustration is absolutely fair. I prefer him not playing Origin. But also it is great that he does at the same time.
Nor should Moses be asked to "exclusively commit himself" to the Eels, which is just waffle talk for guilt tripping Moses for being selected in rep games and pressuring the club to curtail the success of their own players.Â
It would be a crazy own goal for a club under pressure to build a culture of success to stigmatize successÂ
Moses sat out Dogs because medical advice said he was not ready. Not "to be able to play for NSW". When Ryles was asked about Origin he said that wasn't his business, but his advice was Moses would be ready for Raiders.Â
You boys are concocting BS because you've decided it's time to attack the marquee player for getting injured. Fair weather fans.Â
For someone who thinks himself quite the intellect , calling people who spend decades on forums discussing a team that are habitual losers fair weather fans kinda gives the impression it doesn't mean what you think it does đ. Â
Sorry LB the stench around this situation. I dint like what's been presentedÂ
I have been working on my new project - compost bin. It is coming along just fine, and I look forward to the stench , which will conform the preparation is complete and the veggie patch will be delighted. I will keep you updated.Â
If our players are fit to play rep games then they should play rep games.
You need big game players to win big games and we doin't have enough of them. Why fans would want to keep a player out of a big game to play a dour game against the Dogs mid season is beyond me.
Our team has too many blokes in it who are learning how to be first graders and some who the longer their careers go are showing they aren't reliable first graders. We are getting non first grade level errors every week. We need more reliable first graders to help us get to bigger games where we will need big game players. Like many here keep saying the recruitment team has been abysmal and it's criminal they aren't surrounding our rep player with better players to play in big games for us. An absolute joke. Newcastle paid massive overs to pinch our 6 and since have re-signed their elite 1, their origin backrower , origin centre and they've locked in Fletcher Sharpe. Â They've also recruited guys like Marata and Dom Young over the last year. Our guys extended Charlie Guymer and recruited Jonah Pezet and Jack De Belin. Everyone knows this but geezus they need to front up and take ownership of the fact we've been cooked by half way through the year in consecutive years and haven't made the finals since they failed to lock down key players in the 2022 side. Gross mismanagement,Â
