Mike Rush was a done deal at Parramatta by February/March this year

Why do I say this -

*Rush had known links with Ryles and it was obvious Parramatta had stagnated as a club under Sarantinos.

* Rush announces in February that he'd steeped down from St Helens after 27 years stating emotional exhaustion.

* This gave Rush enough break to Prepare for the job at Parramatta. After 27 years you need a long break, especially when an overseas move was imminent.

* on August 13 Sarantinos announces he his leaving the club.

* only 7 weeks later Rush is announced

* its obvious the deal wasn't done in 7 weeks. This is a major move for Rush with a young family.

* The deal was being done January 1 this season

All the evidence points towards Rush and Parramatta being in touch well before August 13.

Forget the Matt Cameron, Cameron George links. They are just a smokescreen. We may have contacted these two before Jan 1 to see their situation.

Could he have been done when Sarantinos resigned In August? Yeah. I don't think in January. No way.

Yeah it's a big move but he is still in England til he gets a visa, it happens.

  He doesn't, he would have applied for it only recently knowing he has the job. It can take a little bit of time, even if fast tracked. He could get it next week, next month or in new year. Just do not know but he should have it very soon.

I certainly seems that way. Whatever happened, Beech is pulling the strings, and in a good way. We haven't seen that level of competence from the board for a very long time, if ever.
