Bulldogs have pulled out of the race for Metcalf and his asking price is around 1 million dollars. Dragons most likely spot but to get him immediately I wonder if this means they will allow Sua to join us early to free up cap space to get Metcalf immediately. Just seems logical

I answered the question, Randy. You asked when to move MON on? How long is a piece of string? It depends. So I set a floor. Scapegoating is not a reason to change. Do you have other reasons?
If you think being asked not to scapegoat as part of an argument is a silly request, then being asked to talk to someone who wants to scapegoat is even more silly.
Ok..so let's play pretendsy's that sometimes a head from head-office just need's to roll. And that now is that time...the bloods in the water and the buses are circling...who get's thrown under 'em??Explain to me the deep institutional knowledge & gravitas we would lose if we "scapegoated" MoN
Further I don't accept that scapegoating has no place or value. Sacrifice one to spare others & slake the bloodlust of concerned parties is a long used practical device...so long as it's not a vital component who cares...off to another job with you. I just can't find the tragedy in this...It's not loike we are BlackBanning him or talking shit aabout him, just moving in a new direction
I would throw MON & Ben Rogers. Shake it Up because our recruitment can't get much worse...It may also buy Ryles some space from the fucking clowns that are already calling for HIS head.
It is further my opinion that our heiracy would sacrifice Ryles before "one of their own". I doubt that Ryles will outlast any of them if we keep missing finals. They could show their solidarity with JR by necking one or two of their own
Personally if I'm replacing MON I'm chasing Braith Anasta. I believe he has the gravitas, respect and pull that we need to get things done
AE, i actually do not mind that pick. Being close to Ryles if a spot was to open up is a realistic option.
I doubt he would uproot his entire professional life to be our GM. I can't think of a single realistic reason why this would happen. He seems happy with his life as is.
he could still work at fox just like gus at 9
Maybe, maybe not. It could just be the challenge he's looking for. Having been a manager he's had a great feel for negotiation. He also knows what a successful football club looks like. He also has a key ingredient that we haven't had since Denis Fitzgerald..... Gravitas
We have mucho dinero and Braith is all about the lucre.
I like the idea. Drive the proverbial dumptruck full of cash around to his house and see what happens.
Totally correct Adam, his salary is/would be already well in excess of 1m plus and Fox love him....its nice to be loved.....you could ask MON of course but he wouldn't know?
Yeah but what's better than a 1M salary...a 2M salary...
