  • Disappointed if this is true. I live in Perth and have for some years lived with no NRL to go see regularly. Was hoping to have a second team to follow. What has Mal achieved in coaching other than be the hype man for a team of future immortals to win a string of origin games against inferior opponents?

  • Hope its better then his political career.  He better have the best of the best assistants cause he cant coach for shit.

Good luck with an average roster week in week out not a team or HOFers and immortals or the Kangaroos.....nevr rated him as a coach

  • I wonder how much Arthur will get renting out the house he bought in Perth?

    • I reckon arthur will get the png job

  • In all honesty, i think this is a bad move. Nobody in media will say so as Mal Meninga is equivalent to Gus Gould in protected species. Brad Arthur was the perfect coach for an expansion like Perth.

    • Brad Arthur and perfect coach don't belong in the same sentence.

      • Oh go away, the bloke can coach. He is great for rebuilding and can handle the media and players love him. Great for a new franchise.

        • hes hopeless ,  but who cares ....its the Bears least we wont get the spoon moving forward ....thats a plus lol

          • He's hopeless, right how did he make a GF then? I wanted him gone by the end but come on he made a GF as a coach.

      • Yep - nail meet hammer
