From Zero tackle this morning:
Basically, Matto is saying that he is open to staying in England beyond this year. Whilst he's still contracted to the Eels for 2026, his future remains uncertain.
Apparently, he moved to England to regain enjoyment in his football (LOL).
He stated he's focused on the short term and has left future contract discussions to his manager. Parramatta hasn't confirmed if they’ll release him for 2026, but given he was out of their plans earlier in the season, it's possible they may consider it.

Glad he's happy with footy again........until they ask him to pay $1500 fine for a high shot.
No doubt we will have to pay some of his contract to play for someone else, maybe as much as $200k and I'm ok with that. All clubs at some point or another partially pay to get a player off their books, obviously it's a situation you would rather avoid but occasionally it's a necessary evil.
