Early in the peice Eels identified three players, any one of which a deal could be structured to be acceptable. Howarth, Utoikamanu or Coates. Presumably between these players and the Storm, they too torpedoed an outcome.
It's not just the Eels or Matterson who played hard ball.
Zac has plenty of people & organisations to look to to see why he'll be in the stands for a while yet.
