RENI MAITUA is planning a warts-and-all documentary of his seven-month preparation for his return to the NRL after his drugs suspension and is planning to talk openly about his exit from the game and what led to it. ''I'm not doing this to make money or anything like that,'' he said. ''If any network or anyone had interest in the doco, I'd want most of the money it sold for to go to charity. I want to tell my story so that people can see what I went through and maybe learn from my mistakes. Look, I know I'm not a superstar in the NRL or anything - I've only played the one Test - but I think it's more the message that I can deliver which may have an impact on people.'' Maitua has started his pre-season training and his sessions will form part of the story. ''I know how hard it is going to be training on my own and I suppose having a camera following me about will be even further reason to be motivated,'' he said. ''I've been doing some training here and there. I went to Thailand and trained but it's time for me to step it up. I know plenty of people want me to fail and a lot think I will. I've got to give myself every chance of making it back.''
