I have had this exact same conversation with EA many times. This whole concept of not ready is complete and utter rubbish in my opinion. I respect EAs opinion because he watches these guys but you can't always judge them purely on reserve grade. Reserve grade defence is not that great in general. Who's to say he won't defend better with having better players defending around him. Yes some players turn out to be not ready, but some players just step into 1st grade seamlessly. If you can't give a talent a go when we are that depleted when can you? Brian Smith held Hayne back and it wasn't until JT took over that he came in and absolutely brained them. I'm tipping Brian Smith thought Hayne "wasn't ready" too.
Prob not my preferred option as id like to give him the year to develop in cup but in saying that hes started the year off on fire and his defensive positioning has been great (attack is no problem with him). Hes taken a massive leap forward and looks comfortable in the ryles system, id be keen to see how he goes.

Exactly. Give these young players a chance! The Eels need some youth and energy in the team
Good point + he's not that young. I think he's 20 odd. Not a teenager
I agree but our alternatives are better
Exactly. This is why we lose juniors to other clubs because other clubs offer fg

Though EA, way I see it is if his defence is a problem, well what's the difference with Pezet?
I think, at least v Titans you could get away with it for a week or two.
Yep Pezet defence may be even worse. Renzo reads is good. Sometimes he can just struggle to hit and stick since he is still young.
7. Moses
6. Papalii/Twidle/Lorenzo?
5. Fox
4. Kelly
3. ???
2. Twidle?
1. Twidle/Paplii?
There are simply gaps there and we can expect 1-2 debut's?
I'm glad, he's young but this will be good experience for him,
