Wait, wait, wait, wait.......Ok, so the NRL, the governing body who should be neutral openly defended you throughout this whole ordeal. Going out on a limb to try and fix your image and stroke your ego. Put pressure on your former club to try and get you to where you wanted to go and risk integrity of the code to get you to where you wanted to be.

If his management are the ones telling him not to do this stuff and he ignores them they need to drop him quick smart. If they are telling him everything is all good, someone needs to step in and get him better help.
