Lomax's management confident of deal

Common sense? Right so he is the victim here? Right i see. Also Clint Newton has said the RLPA will not allow Lomax to be used as a barganing chip. Newton who knows best for the sport is hoping Lomax get's off scott free so his players can do the same. NRL are walking a very fine line here if they let Lomax get off with this and overule Parramatta it will set a precedence for all other players.

I didn't believe it but i do now that there is a chance NRL come in and give us a "Just let him go" lecture. V'Landys only sees the mouth watering publication of Lomax against Parra round 1 he can feast off. NRL should say "We support Parramatta in what they choose to do". Simple as that.

Though we lack that figure head the likes of Melbourne, Roosters and Dogs have where they bitch and moan and the NRL come in to tell the other party to pull their heads in.

Common sense, seriously.

  • We can probably start suggesting a third club to trade Lomax to, or a third club to get us a player, that club gets someone from Melbourne, and Melbourne get Lomax.

Thing is, we have prepared without him. We can start our season with the options we've wanted all along. We are not in a hurry. This can drag yet methinks.

  • I wonder if Parra have their eyes on someone at a different club other than Melbourne? Eg) Cobbo for Lomax?

    • Problem is, I think Lomax commits just one year for his new club, then he will go to Rugby360. Which club is willing to let go of a big name player in return for one year of Lomax?

  • Burton

  • Hope parra hold strong and let him sit out no compensation needed

  • Lomax signed 2 separate contracts with the Parramatta Eels, one to put on the jersey and play NRL and one stating he was released but could not play NRL for the duration of his playing contract. Lomax would not have signed these contracts without his agents and lawyers approval, which means he was of sound mind and now should put his big boy pants on a cop it.

How is Lomax being used a barganing chip? The only players I see that are being used are the ones Parra want in return and like it was stated earllier on another blog what happened when Addo-Carr let the Storm mid contract? Same situation, same outcome going to benefit the Storm.

  • Surely Junior Paulo can get Lomax into the Oatley Rugby 3rd grade side.

  • We can't be forced to do anything. Take us to court. Everything is in our control.

"A fair player swap would be ideal, but they don’t always eventuate. Exhibit A: When the Storm refused to release JAC. A swap was talked about for years. Never happened. JAC had to accept the contractual terms until its end."
