This whole blaming players is stupid. We took it to a genuine heavy weight for 80 minutes and just fell short. A few players let us down on the attack but Melbourne's defence is suffocating. They force you to take risks. Not excusing Hopgood's hands but he didn't cost us the game. Melbourne were just too good in the end.
They did not cost us the game but they all need beach and hill sprint training in the off season.
In terms of the moments that stood out, yes. But hopgood made the most tackles and Lomax the most metres.
Hopgood is doing not too much in attack yet in defence he would be dare I say elite.
Its hard as he is not up to the 2023 standard that got him an Origin jersey but defensively he is really good.
