"The Parramatta Eels can confirm that Zac Lomax has been granted an immediate release from his playing contract to pursue opportunities outside the NRL.
The Club would like to thank Zac for his contribution during his time with the Eels in 2025 and we wish him all the best for the future."

Honestly prob inu and Hayne when the broke onto the scene. We haven't really had anything of that level since
EG Jnr maybe not great but Origin.
But were they Wingers per say? Both came through as Fullbacks, Inu was more a Centre also.
Semi Radradra.
But we brought him over from Fiji. I mean actually had from Harold Matts or SG Ball and up.
This year, the club better try and develop Roksuka (19), Sorovi (18), Bloomfield (18) and Alamadine (21) as much as possible. They all have genuine talent to be FG wingers. Good thing for wingers is they can be gun players at a young age.
When you say great, you mean Hayne or Eric Grothe (Snr) or Leaping Lee Oudynryn
As for the value of wingers today, I believe strong yardage wingers have gone past the importance of strike centres. One thing the Eels have had recent success with is finding quality wingers. Both Semi and Sivo come to mind. Send some recruits over to Fiji and find some potentially good wingers at minimal cost and develop them for the next 12 months.
Yeah it's easy-peasy....so why do I feel queezy?
Been saying this for years 😂 why we don't do it is beyond me.
The talents all there to be plucked.
World 7s circuit is another place I'd look.
Super and first15 rugby in NZ is another place.Best thing here is NZR can't match the nrl development deals so that's open slather if they want it.I know the Warriors are very active with there recruiting there.Just about all there new recruits have played rugby at some level or another without question.
