Loko Pasifiki Tonga requests immediate release

Sign the bloke. He is very similar to Sam Tuivita. Both played u19 origin blues together. He ran for 200m+ last week in nsw cup and still didnt get called into their side lol. Unlike the other duds from the DT article, this bloke is young and heaps of upside.

    • Thing that makes LPT so enticing is he is a man mountain and athletic as. Not saying he is, but he has the same physique as Haas. Not saying he is Haas, just saying he is athletic for his size like Haas.

He can put in big minutes, good in defence as well.

    • I recon Mariota stays at Raiders. Papalii is retiring so they will have the money.

So start Hopgood over Mariota. I recon after another preseason T Brown will be enough for that bench spot. Plus Doorey & Moretti is there. Who knows as Jezaiah, Petrus, etc could be real smokeys.

      • I though you don't rate Funa-Iuta EA?

I mean you like him but see him as being just fine, and in the middle. I know you love Petrus.

        • I don't rate Jezaiah on an edge. But I have rated him as a middle because he gives Kolomatangi vibes. Just depends what eels do with his future

          • Is talk of our juniors being good just talk or do we have at least something to look forward to.

            • We have good juniors coming through for sure. The next wave starting with Lorenzo should start playing more NRL from next year. Then Petrus, Koina, Popo and others should follow

              • Pryke is the 7th player from the 2023 SG ball winning team to make their NRL debut. Alamadine and Vaivea were the wingers in that team and they are in nsw cup. TBH i dont either are NRL quality. Lynn and De Stradis are playing Qcup.

So essentially our 2023 Ball batch is complete.

The 2024 team was not as good. Lot of them are still in JF/nsw cup right now.

The 2025/2026 team is very talented and personally there is more individual talent in this team than the 2023 team.

              • Is Ryda, Petrus and Fletcher the best juniors we have?

                • to me our top 5 juniors that we have that haven't played nrl yet is Lorenzo (20), Petrus (19), Koina (19), Seuseu (16) and Popo (20). Popo hasn't played much this year due to injury but last years form puts him on this list for me. Could argue the same thing about Polley. Interested to know SB and PT top 5 juniors at the club right now.

                  • The mix things i have heard about Ryda is disappointing. Koina could be the one we lean over Ryda. Hope they all get some Cup time later in the year.

I am surprised you didn't have Bamblett in your top 5, EA. But i know how high you are on Petrus, going as far as to say he could be a regular in FG next year.

"is this because kelly is top 30 and available where as nanva isnt and therefore only available if we short top 30 players? surely the only reason? otherwise id have kelly no where near the top grade side. "
