I see a few things to take out of this.
Firstly, the players complaining they are not enjoying it, a portion of Melbourne players mentioned how they are hating football. Now is it because of the rules or because they are losing like never before? They want the game back to how they want to play it? Just wondering if a portion of the players saying they hate it is just sour grapes for form? I find it funny how Munster comes out and says how bad the game is now while sitting in bottom 4 from losing 7 in a row.
Secondly, if the NRL react to this and go back to how it was that effects recruitment again. As the new rules show importance more than ever on bigger forwards and faster backs. If the rules revert back is the type of player not needed again as much as it is with new rules?

I said I did and do like most of them but he can go too far as well. If you see my reply yesterday I said clearly early on his innovations are great and his drive for them is great. But his issue is he doesn't stop innovating.
Finally, in my post above, where does it say about me disliking innovations? Nothing in that post shows that Randy. I was saying how it could effect recruitment strategies if we go back to how it was. Neither agreeing or disagreeing just saying that could happen.
I mean for all the rough things he's done lately, his innovation of getting footy back going during COVID saved the game. Not many would have done what he did.

All this doesn’t prove the game is “broken,”...agreed. The overpaced, fatigue riddled ref-a-thon points blitz that hurts my eyes & feelings is what proves to me the game is broken.
I would hazard that Ugly Pete pushed that other guy (can't remember his name) out so as to receive all the credit for the incoming TV loot like the vain-glorious dictator he is

Well you should "puke" Randolph, you certainly have never been so biased in your opinions, because you don't like or trust Vlandys, you are certainly entitled not liking and trusting him but you cannot see outside of your inherent bias.
It is a bit like arguing politics, you cannot have a decent discussion outside of the party you vote or belong to.
Interesting enough, why I have certain views I find I am enjoying the game more when not watching Parramatta, the ref bias and decision making upset's my rancour but the game overall is more enjoyable IMO.
So until you can look at things objectively, then I do not want to hear your opinions, that's not to say I am not interested in you. Your vey entertaining and your wit is incomparable.....just take the fcuk out of the wit!
One final point, if you ever decide to learn about differences of opinion i.e. two sides to every opinion, then you are no different to the inherit bias you see in Vlandy.....play the ball not the man in this case and not continue "hating" forever, its a routine you will find in life, much more enjoyable than your current course.

As for the good game or do you mean name of Test Cricket, arbitrary umpiring or anything "arbitrary" is not something that you would readily partake in.....I assume that you have told LB you were not interested in chess, when it came to discussing players, he did explain that chess pieces already had name"s and the rules of not stepping out of line were not arbitrary.

That 80% thought that is telling. The fact it is now that V'Landys will be CEO as well is telling. He can be great but needs someone to call him out too. That's why I wanted Ikin as CEO.
But how Annersley is still the boss of the referees is telling to how serious they are taking the refereeing of late, not very seriously. It's been a clique for years.

The game is becoming unwatchable. The nrl is rigged its as simple as that. All these gambling like sportsbet etc always on ads basically ramming it down your throat. Its just not the same anymore the nrl everytime a try is scored fans get nervous will it be awarded or not.

There is an alleged RLPA player poll being talked about in the podcast world that could provide explosive media click-bait when it's officially released soon.
Paul Kent’s May 25th podcast (from about the 34th minute) claims that around half the 56-57 odd RLPA poll respondents were senior players with 8+ years NRL experience (over 200 seasons of experience) and their concerns include:
What's interesting is this RLPA poll has been leaked before it's been made offical.
Daz makes some valid points that this poll represents a very small sample and it could be widely misleading: "a coin toss".
Still, optics-wise, it’s not ideal, regardless of whether it's fair or not, representive of a broader playing group or not.
Whether that relatively small senior sample represents the broader playing group is difficult to determine. Younger players also have less to compare with than senior players. Also, senior players have a huge influence on younger players too.
It also clashes somewhat with the V’landyball marketing narrative of the game having record crowds, being bigger, faster, better and more entertaining than ever.
There are fans, including me, who aren’t entirely convinced either.
Average scores are now pushing beyond 50 points per game, the highest in history. 20 plus margins of blowouts are common now. Kent makes the valid point coaches fear fatigue: fatigue makes cowards of us all.
Not only that but the risk of injuries increase. With the clamp down on any head contact and force, even caused by ball-carriers falling into tackles, defences are pressured to be more passive.
Defences rarely can withstand more than 3 minutes of sustained pressure. 3 sets. That is based on the best the Panthers have defended without leaking a try.
Gus Gould has regularly commented on the unfair contest between attack and defence and it being next to impossible to have much defensive resilience, especially due to the new rules and huge number of restarts and penalties, and refereering interpretations and head-high issues.
All this doesn’t prove the game is “broken,” but it does suggest the ARLC and NRL should probably examine whether the balance between fatigue, speed, officiating influence and entertainment has shifted too far.
Some solid sources also suggest not all referees, privately, are on board with the new rules and where the game is heading and believe there is some bias.

With the TV deal coming up, and Abdo resigning at an interesting point in time, it's food for thought for the game’s powerbrokers. A potential ticking time bomb.
