Just heard on triple M whisper that Eels and Dragons are monitoring the Luke Metcalf situation at the warriors, as their keen to re sign Cht and Tanah Boyd. Would you take him? It does show that at the moment if their is an elite half on the market the Eels might try and get him if they stop screwing around.

If Bennett cannot get anything out of him, I don't think anyone can.
Bennett doesn't always get it right. Every coach is different. Who's to say ryles can't get the best out of him. Just because wayne couldn't does that mean we don't even try?

I asked LB what his thoughts were on Schuster when he was headed to the bunnies (I don't think he replied). Interesting proposition, all the ingredients are there just got to find a way to get the best out of him. As Clintorian said, if Bennett can't maybe he's a lost cause and not worth it but would be worth an inquiry
Train and trial no guarantees to anything if he can earn his way to a top 30 spot then you may have something but if you are interested Schuster he has to prove it to you.In no way shape or form is he handed anything.There's tools there with the ball but without it there's issues,at the end of the day imo that's all he is he won't give you the same effort without and herein why I think he's done and dusted as an nrl player.
No one is saying we should be rolling out the red carpet for him. Apparently he has a lot going on in his life and he may well not be suitable. Like anyone else, if he isn't committed it's a hard pass. I just think it's worth the ask to see where he is at.

I've seen the interview I've seen it but for me the team doesn't need more finesse it needs more athleticism and more aggressiveness both sides of the ball.I think Schuster is more of that finesse type we aren't after.
If you are to go for this guy you've got to be sure and talk is cheap in this guys case he's got to prove it train and trial if he doesn't want that and is looking for a deal then thanks but no thanks.
Time will tell i suppose. I'm sure ryles will know if its worth the risk or not. We will see.
I like it, hope its true, a lot of upside for absolute minimal outlay. The talent is undeniable.
If Ryles / R&R see an opportunity there, great, if it falls over, its not a huge loss.
