Just heard on triple M whisper that Eels and Dragons are monitoring the Luke Metcalf situation at the warriors, as their keen to re sign Cht and Tanah Boyd. Would you take him? It does show that at the moment if their is an elite half on the market the Eels might try and get him if they stop screwing around.

I don't see what the point is here if we are looking at the mentioned is Talataina not who we think he is as CHT makes more sense if you want a half to play next to Moses.Metcalfe is a 7 not a 6 and he's defense is questionable.He makes more sense at the Dragons for me adding Drinkwater also and building a new spine there.We need a defensively savvy 6 and one that can run and execute on the left side.
I like CHT too. Someone called him a baby-faced assassin. Pretty spot on. But that Kamazee style won't always pay off.
Metcalf has played some pretty damn good footy at 6, you could argue he is more agile 6 than a 7.
I don't think the Eels know who they want for the 6 jersey, they went after Galvin and missed, then wanted Joash to play 6, then went after Pezet and missed and took him for a 1 year deal to develop our own, now it looks like they are going back on the market. It's been almost two years since Dylan announced he was going to Knights and we are still screwing around with the 6 jersey. Just make a decision and move on.

Agreed. We have Volkman now, who is a decent enough fill in. Next year Talitaina is old enough if he is good enough. If he is not good enough, that when we need to go to market.
Sorry LE if we are relying on Volkman as a primary next year we are in serious trouble.He's doing an admirable job don't get me wrong but for a whole season I'm not sold we need a serious upgrade at 6 and in the outside backs first and foremost.
No, what I am saying is that we have Volman now as a handy back-up, and either Talitaina or someone else as 6 next year. Either the club thinks Talitaina is good enough next year or not.
