"Well said Pou. I think the issue involved with Da Silva for some fans is their affinity for Smith. He is such a fan favourite anyone that is taking game time away or is adding competition is bad it seems. I really like Smith but the hate for Da…"
"Would've made him shave it off turning up to pre season like that. Smith would be licking his lips"
"TDS is still young, with plenty of improvement left in him. He could still play Flegg in 2026 ffs. And despite being two years younger than Ryley Smith, he has played nine more NRL games."
"So if you don't rate him why put him in lower grades for time? If you don't rate him time in lower grades won't matter."

Having landed in Sydney on a flight from Fiji on Tuesday night, the Eels winger appeared briefly in Parramatta Local Court to face domestic violence allegations on Wednesday morning.

Radradra, 24, had missed a court appearance on Monday after he flew to Fiji to be with his ailing father who was suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis and asthma.
But magistrate Timothy Keady was not satisfied that a doctor's letter tendered by Radradra's barrister justified his non-appearance.
Mr Keady revoked Radradra's bail, and threatened to release a warrant for his arrest if more evidence of the seriousness of his father's illness was not presented to the court.
On Wednesday, barrister Murugan Thangaraj, SC, presented a new letter confirming the dates that Radradra's father was in hospital last week.
He apologised on behalf of Radradra, and stressed that there was no tactical advantage to his client missing what would have been a hearing into the domestic violence allegations against him.
Mr Keady accepted the letter and said he was "not inclined to take the matter further".
He revoked a condition in Radradra's bail that had allowed him to travel internationally so long as he sought permission, and ordered him to surrender his passport. The arrest warrant was also revoked.
Speculation has buzzed around Radradra's playing future, after the French rugby powerhouse club Toulon reported on its website that it had signed the player on a one-year deal with the option of a second year.
Radradra's manager, George Christodoulou, said an approach had been made but denied that any contract had been signed.
"Ideally we were hoping to have his court hearing finalised today, which would have subsequently enabled us to proceed with negotiating and finalising his playing future," Christodoulou told foxsports.com.
Eels chief executive Bernie Gurr also said Radradra had confirmed to the club that he had not signed a contract with the French rugby side.
Radradra was arrested in July this year and charged with one count of domestic violence-related assault causing actual bodily harm and two counts of domestic violence-related common assault.
The offences were allegedly committed against his former partner Perina Ting in Parramatta between October 2014 and May 2015.
An interim apprehended violence order against Radradra has been continued, and the matter will next come before court for a hearing in February.

Thanks Willie, now we settle back and enjoy the training reports, the Christmas break and seeing Semi at training with him, team, coach all happy. We await the Feb court case and verdict, hopefully with all that ended then the club and Semi can move on as to what he will be doing in 2018 and beyond.
Hopefully the only Louie in the career ointment will be what position the NRL adopts, as to any punishment. All being deemed good an extension of contract with the eels may be the result. And they can all live happily ever after,----------sort of.
They can stop him from going to New Zealand in the same way they opposed Manu Ma'u coming to Australia initially due to his criminal record. The club can however request the court allow him to travel to New Zealand and the court will probably request a bail payment be made to allow Semi to travel. They're not actually stopping him from working as such given he'll be paid regardless of if he plays in the Nines or not. The club can say though that he'd be travelling on official club business and as such he'll be coming back to Australia at the end of that weekend.
If the club want Semi to play in the 9's they will need Semi's legal team to submit an application to alter the bail for those several days he is out of the country. If granted the bail alteration would be very specific only allowing him to travel to NZ for employment reasons between specific dates. If there is no application with the Court for Semi's bail to be temporarily changed then he will not be able to get his passport back and or travel overseas.
After all the Toulon nonsense this week no doubt created by his manager theres no way Semi deserves to go to the 9s imo, i recon both are taking the piss.
If we don't hear the Union thing again between now and the 9's and he trains well I would pick him and submit the bail application to change his bail for that weekend. Although, the Court may not want to alter the bail again due to the discussion of him possibly going to France.
1. If the judge really was going to dismiss, then Semi and Parra lost out big time. And I assume Semi only went back to Fiji out of serious concern
2. If it is likely that Semi will lose then by delaying procedures this case and the sentencing may not be over until after the footy season. In which case Semi gets to play all season and even in finals. And gets paid all year because Parra may sack him if he got a lengthy suspension. However suspension won't happen until sentencing (if any) is complete. That would give him a one season ban for 2018. And he may hope to be able to play for Toulon during this ban.
