Yeah EA, we often throw rocks at people here but forget to lob them Matto's way....he deserves boulders for the way he is going about doing whatever the fuck it is he thinks he is doing....hang on...brain injury...I wonder if he even realizes just how much pf a self-obsessed arsehole he is coming across as. He probs thinks folks feel bad for him and still believe he can come back stronger. His attitude has torched that. Fuck Him.

On that ," players gone for the season", I'm wondering should the NRL start seriously thinking about changing the rules for salary cap dispensation so that season ending injuries can be replaced within a squad. This probably deserves its own blog.
In the NFL teams can place players on the injured reserve list, this allows them to add a replacement player to their 53 man roster (not sure about salary cap relief) but once placed on the list that player cannot play again that season.
Maybe the NRL should look at something similar but limit it to 1 or 2 players Max for each team.
Ryles can be blamed for many things, including purchasing Pezet for one season, but the injury count he can't control that. If the Eels can just be there abouts to making the finals he has done an amazing job. If the Eels finish this season like they did last season, it's promising for me.
Obviously I want them to play finals but the injury count has been next level and Ryles can't control that, no matter how much people think he can.
I am in aggreeance though, the Pezet signing is a bit of a head scratcher. I am guessing he thought Pezet was better than we all think of him due to Ryles time at the Storm and coaching him in their junior ranks. It's hard to know if a talented junior will make it in the senior leagues but you will never know until you give them a go. You also have to be willing to give them a number of games, not just one or two and then saying they're no good.
Maybe Ryles got the Pezet one wrong, or maybe the Bronco's will reap the longterm rewards?
Weird things are happening this year Coryn. haha. Never in my wildest dreams would i pick the score and our wins this year.
Losing by 50, Winning 40-32 against last years premiers, 30-20 Dragons, Losing by 50 against the Titans, putting 38 on the dogs to win, winning 33-30 Against the cows in Townsville. Mate Bizzare year this year. I can't foresee most games! . Newcastle , Tigers in the top 8, Storm now second last. Anything is possible this year by the looks of it. haha Who adapts to this fast pace, run em ragged , smash the middle fast play the ball and play get the six again smash em again in the middle , play of the back of it score, run back do it again . Touch footy on steroids at times.
I'll be honest, this is one of the best seasons of footy to watch in years because you really don't have any idea who's gonna win each game - I love that!
I wish we had a bit more luck with injuries so we'd be further up the ladder, but this season has a bit for every fan, and everyone has some skin in the game.
We whinge about the 6 agains, but V'landy's ball might just be the spanner in the game we need to upset the predictable team positions from previous years.
I'm not sure if it's the best, it gives me a heart attack every game. My voice is so sore after a game yelling, I don't think i'll ever be the same again. Des Hasler voice coming up, me thinks. haha
"Honestly I'm not paying attention to the results because I still stand by my statement round 3 after the dragons win when I put the line through us then.
Injuries have hurt us but I'm still seeing lack of physicality in the middle of the ruck and a…"
"Guymer played 82 mins, at left backrow. Tuilagi played right backrow for 70 mins.
Paulo (55) & William (59) were props for most of the game. Doorey (28) & Mataele (29) the extra prop mins. Otherwise DBL & Walker were 'lock' and I think Pryke played…"

What happens when Moses is picked in Origin?? Who do we bring into 7 ??
Pezet did a job to win Melbourne finals games when Hughes was out.
For all the fans wanting him to go now, just answer the above question... and ill bet your answers will be laughable
Does it make a difference do you see the team playing finals football.
The strategy is sound but are as mentioned serious about making the finals.Big ask if you ask me.
