Jason Ryles in his after match press conference said that Joash is our 1st choice 5/8 going into the future. He also said that he wants to play him there as much as possible from now on to let him develop and build his game.

Newy can't afford him today. Parra look after Parra not Dylan Brown or Newy they are least of Parras concern.
I feel that Ryles is still keeping options open, but having Joash finishing the season a 5/8 suggests he has gone cold on Volkman. I see a scenario where we go for a top line 5/8 and Joash plays a backup 5/8 role in Reserve Grade. Ryles is no fool, and I can't see him putting all his eggs in the Joash basket unless he has no other option.
