Is Jesse even good? He seems like an average winger to me.
Well he averages around 150m per game, decent under high ball and can score tries. But also he has been used very sparingly, there is a reason for that.
He is a Maika Sivo type signing from Penrith where you get him for opportunity but high chance he's not good due to what Penrith saw of him. Sivo at least worked out somewhat.
Jesse is 21. We signed Sivo at 24 or 25. So I think we have lots of upside with Jesse.
Sivo had upside coming to us too. There is a reason why Jesse is not getting picked. Even during Origin they go elsewhere. I think it would be an alright signing but there is a reason he is stuck in Cup. Age regardless.
I remember watching him play 1st grade a while back and he reminded me of a slightly better version of Jake Tago. He is a different build to his brother Casey, much shorter and doesn't seem to be as athletic. Sua F' temu version.
