Coryn, was thinking the same watching the Dolphins last night.
O'Sullivan won't fix all the Eels issues, but it would be a huge first step.
He has the experience, success, the contacts & ability to communicate / sell a vision to players & agents.
As LB said, the Eels challenge could appeal to him.

All I know lads is we can't continue down the same path we need change and we need it quickly.I see no point in recruiting on the field until we get someone more qualified off it.
O'Sullivan fits the bill for what we need if you look at the rosters of Newcastle Redcliffe and the Warriors all big all physical all athletic across the park these are the ingredients missing from the Parra equation. We just need that DNA to be injuected off the park to fix a very obvious recruitment issue on it.
This is too obvious but unfortunately we are banging our heads against a brick wall. As long as we have fans giving our head office a pass mark we will continue to be irrelevant in terms of being a premiership threat. 50 year drought here we come.
And the Dolphins centre Herbie is being chased by the Roosters, I've said it before their recruitment is so superior to the Eels, boy they need to lift.
Yeah I was always each way, as poppa would call me, in that they should go but also not everything they do is awful. I also said let's wait til it is done to see what they come up with then judge. But I said it with the caveat that if the likes of Jenkins stay or go elsewhere panic is fair.
Its getting ridiculous now as there are no other top quality Wingers, he's was the last one for now. Unless you just throw cash at Murray Taulagi before Roosters officially get him. But it is starting to hit worry territory for me now Jenkins is off the market.
I was against the idea of throwing the money we would need to throw to get him. Now it's a case of probably just do it, he would lead to getting at least another 2 signings simply from him being there.
"It's disgraceful that this bloke has been allowed to continue to officiate games, even if he isn't betting on nrl games every bad decision he makes is going to be suspicious.
The games integrity will be muddied if he is allowed to continue."
"LB, I could argue that it is a 100k career advantage to play for penrith, i.e. lets asume they offered 350 to Milky and Parra offered 450.....you would stay everyday of the week and that's a simple equation and not insulting Parra, just the reality…"

O' Sullivan as well would have the ego to take the Eels job, to be seen as the one to change them.

Herbie is a million dollar centre and that's the only price he will leave the Dolphins for I would assume.
We would need to offer $1.3+ to get him.
And think we should go that high, worth every cent imo.
For a Centre it is risky as it can destroy your cap. On the other hand we are that desperate we might need to.
