I watched Liddle closely last year and he really did have a breakout season. Watching the Drags now, he brought them back into the contest as soon as he came on. There is no doubting his ability.
We talk about 'culture' and the standards and systems that our club has lacked. There is a direct correlation between culture and people and this is what our club needs to focus on. Our recruitment and retention in previous years has been abysmal and this IMO has to be our priority. (Ryan Matterson the prime example of such selfish players). We all talk about the Storm and their standards and systems, however I know first hand the extent that Bellamy and Ponissi go to know and understand not only the people they recruit and but also the family/friends they have. They recruit on personality as much as performance.
Anyways back to Jacob Liddle he comes across as a person and player that our club needs. Off contract this year (mutual option for 26 I believe).
Your thoughts?

Still too early but I'm happy with Riley smith.
I think you find all the new buys from ryles are about culture and putting in.
even JAC whilst had his issue last year , he is a big personality that is huge with the fans and talker on field and training
Fair enough, the early signs are good with Smith. Yes JR appears to be the man to help achieve such, a massive improvement on his predecessor.
The character of a person is huge you don't need stars in every position but you do need guys who'll role there sleeves up and do there jobs. That's what's been missing in the Parra side for a couple of seasons.
Good examples for us in the past are players like Beau Scott David Gower Tom Opacic are the ones that come to mind for me not flashy they won't light the world on fire but do there jobs and won't let you down when there numbers called.
Spot on Coryn! I hope going forward this is the motto we follow.
