                    • Actually you are right Daz, the visionaries on here have no understanding how cheap (good) a deal this is in a big picture sense for the Government, regardless of colour or same..

The game will look after itself from say Albo's point of view, all he cares about is that he has limited China and added to our relationship with PNG.

The NRL are doing what they need to do to take advantage of Internationalising the game with this deal. How they go about it is beyond the thinking of most on here. i.e. Most could not manage a transfer of a paper bag in a parking lot!

The fact that Tax free incentives have been offered for employment considerations has been going on with PNG for in execess of 60/70 years. Why do you think anyone goes there?

The naive on here that cannot understand that, are the equivalents of no vision that any form of management takes on in their eyes. How come these guys are titled, educated and influenced and the rest of us do our management through social media.....arguably having never managed anything properly in their lives.

The reality is again that many on here (people) are "absolute" without any real understanding of how the commercial undertakings are managed.

We have an idiot's like Mallee telling us all these happenings and what they are really thinking and he could not justify one point with a fact. If Malee has a brain it has only exposed itself in a way that Mallee alone sees as the infilitrator that he is from another club's social media site!..... I am not the only one that has seen through this. Many other members on here have implied the same. Btw the evidence in this case is on his site profile and the commentary, and how you he used same the undermine and ingratiate the various negative views. Just read his posts and it falls out in front of you.

This whole "blog" suffers from the "poor me" mentality of most of the posters.

Disagree with anything that is being spoken by all means, but do so with the aknowledgement that you really don't know.

Phrase your critique in this manner and you make yourself credible, talking about  who the biggest corrupter and shit stirrer will never work in the real world.......Wakey Wakey hands of Snakey....because that is what you are mostly i.e. low level hipocrites.

                    • Question Poppa, how long did that take you to write with your shoulder?

                • Kendoza, and as we know when companies know its tax funded money they increase the costs of everything....the $$$ thrown at this is a scam; i get we don't want China on our doorstep but seriously throwing  $600 million at this; it could end in tears.

                  • Mitchy, an easy way to get $600 million is simply to claw back at least 1.5% of the $40 billion per annum foregone revenue due to giving gas away to foreign multinationals. That is, just make royalties on gas 1.5% more efficient.

                    Problem solved!

Or . . . cancel just one submarine from the terminally ridiculous $368 billion out to 2050 we are going to spend on nuclear submarines (obsolete before we get them). That's just one sub at $8 billion and we could fund the football teams from every island in the Asia-Pacific!

                    • I tend to agree Prof Daz; and also maybe just ask Mr Chalmers to cut govt spending which is contributing to inflation; there you go Daz we can solve it; and maybe cut the immigration firstly, and then focus on skilled workers (means less on welfare / medicare etc); NDIS and also the debt free student loans. You and I can sort it. NDIS has been rorted as seen here in NSW and Vic.

      • Agree it will be 'dad's army' roster, just like when Gold Coast came into the comp. I guess they're hoping by the 10th year, there will be some PNG players ready to step into NRL. Those 8-10 year olds now aspiring to one day play NRL. Its a real possibility given it is their national sport, unlike Melbourne who after all these years and all their successes, have fck all juniors come through. Perth will be the same as Melbourne. I'd rather a second NZ team over Perth.

        • I wonder if they could get a Farnworth or Walsh? At this stage they are getting players on back-end of their careers. Since they are announced now in the end of prime it looks good at the moment.

        • The issue of comparing Melbourne with Perth is Melbourne set their back room staff up so well and had the advantage of the Western Reds and Hunter Mariners folding therefore a big collection of players looking for contracts.

  • This is why the recruitment group need to be in front of the game; we need to have some tough type players earmarked (with some nrl exp) and we will need more than Sua; Paulo will be gone i assume by 28 along with i assume Matto / Walker and now possibly Williams; and with Hopgood gaining injuries.....we need some more biff up front and this concerns me as juniors alone will not be enough.

  • PNG will win a comp before we do ill say in 15 years time they would of equalled our tally they will be able to buy a comp in the first few then reap rewards of local talent and NRL talent and NRL exceptions

"assume player managers commission is tax free too? No doubt they'll be an extra incentive for them to direct their traffic that way?"

"Agreed NOS - Jack going to PNG in '28 for a payday would work well for us. Forwards decline quickly, let him play out his career elsewhere."
