              He outperformed a few of the centres from the top eight teams this year:

              Pompey
              Leiataua
              Wighton
              Ramien

              He also performed about as well as Gagai. Will Penisini is definitely a first grader. He certainly shouldn't be blamed for our performances this year. The only bloke in our team better at breaking tackles was Iongi.

    Surely best and bostock is the better plan? But bostock will command top dollar and as everyone says, will depend on what herbie does, he goes to chooks, then bostock stays put.

      All about cap. Nice having both, but is it worth missing a top junior in a more important position for them?

  I'd be happy if we signed Howarth, though I would prefer Bostock or Best.
  
  I can't see the Dolphins wanting to let go of Herbbie or Jack, but cap management may take that out of their hands.
  
  They already have Cobbo and George Williams on top teir contracts next. And (before re-signing Bostock or Herbbie) top priority will be locking up Katoa and Hammer. And both are going to be expecting/deserving BIG contracts, probably circa 1.4 mil a season. 
  They're also gonna have to worry about the big upgrades that Plath and Gilbert are going to expect in 2028.
  
  Even with the increased cap they're going to struggle to keep Jack and Herbbie. Both are going to get big offers from clubs including Parra. 
  I'd be happy for us to make a big play for Bostock ... But ...

  I also think there's a potential 2027 opportunity for us here.
  If they are looking to somehow keep Herbbie and Jack they will need to look at losing a couple of their very talented next up young players in Brian Pouniu and Tevita Naufahu. 

  These guys are guns and their existing contracts may be untenable if Jack and Herbbie are to get big upgrades. If we could land one of these guys and Jack Howarth I would be stoked.
